Vehicle Detail

Overview This is my 2000 Ford Ranger, regular cab, with a 3.0 liter V-6 flex fuel engine. I have owned and cared for this vehicle since 2002. I have always taken great care of my truck, oil changes every 3,000 miles, and wash/wax consistently. I was recently a victim of a hit and run accident, which caused moderate front-end damage to the truck. Unfortunately police have been unable to locate the registered owner of the other vehicle, and therefore its assumed they were not carrying any insurance. At this point in time, I am assuming I will not be reimbursed for the value of my truck, and therefore I am attempting to sell it to the highest bidder to salvage whatever I can. I considered parting it out, however, I have neither the time, nor the resources to do so. **Please note, although this vehicle may not carry a salvaged title, it is "wrecked", and considered undriveable. Description I have done my best to capture the extent of the damages. I was traveling approx. 45 mph at the time of the collision, when a drunk driver pulled out in front of me. Pictures will clearly show both L/R front fenders rolled into the wheel wells. The bumper, hood, fog lights, headlights, tow hooks, were the origin of impact. Both frame rails have been bent just north of the front axle. I'm assuming they absorbed a majority of the impact. The driver side door does not close properly, and appears to be misaligned. Everything under the hood appears to be intact. The position of the radiator, battery, fan, and washer fluid/coolant reservoirs have all been altered by the collision. I really don't know if/how the engine was effected by the impact. I have been unable to start the vehicle, the battery is dead (although I've tried using a good battery) , and I'm assuming the engine's ignition system may have a safety feature that prevents the vehicle from firing once the airbags have been deployed. The front windshield, back window, driver/passenger side windows are intact. Only damage done to the interior of the vehicle is the fact that both airbags have been deployed. This is would be a good candidate for a "parts" vehicle. Both the engine/transmission functioned properly prior to the accident. Unfortunately I cannot verify this is still the case. There are clearly several useable parts that are in good condition, for someone desiring to restore/repair another Ford Ranger. Because of my lack of knowledge about bodywork, I really cannot estimate what it would take to repair this vehicle to road worthy condition. **Attention: This vehicle is being purchased "as is" and all transactions will be final. Winning bidder will be responsible for pick-up and delivery to its destination. Bidders are more than welcome to contact me with questions, or for additional photographs. I will do my best to respond to inquiries as soon as possible. I am a very honest individual and will be as straight-forward with you as possible.
