1967 Honda

This is a very clean, complete and rideable 1967 Honda Dream 305cc. The bike is a rider and has some scuffs and scrapes but is fully functional. The paint job looks to be 20 years old and has some chips and scratches but still looks presentable. I just installed a new chain and rear drive sprocket. The petcock has also been rebuilt. The bike fires into life easily from either the kicker or the starter button. The bike was fitted with turn signals when I bought it for my wife to ride in 1997. They work just fine as does all of the electrical components except the horn. The chrome is original and shows it age but overall cleans up pretty well. The extra mount on the top of the front fender came with the bike and was either a cool mounting for a "mascot" or a fairing mount. It comes to the winning bidder at NO EXTRA CHARGE! There is a repair patch on the bottom of the left-hand muffler that is hard to see if it isn't pointed out. The tires are the last of their kind that Coker was selling out in the late '90's. They are period Firestones and are in very good condition with the rubber still soft and no cracking. The speedo works but has a cracked lense. I tried to show this in the photos. the shiney aluminum has all been professionally polished and I like the way the engine covers look polished and they can be easily repained if you are looking to do a complete resoration. Overall the bike is set up for riding and is in good working order so that my wife could use it reliably. It hasn't been licensed for the last two years and only run at VJMC club events. The trunk is a cool period item that is very handy. My wife put 4000 miles on the bike as a daily rider from 1997 until 2004 when our son was born. Now it needs to go to somebody who will ride it regularly again. The previous owner said that he just had the top end rebuilt and the engine has given us flawless preformance and doesn't smoke. The bike comes with a clean Minnesota title and is licensed as a 1969. I have been told that they never made any after 1967 and that some hung around dealers for a few years before being titled.
