I have a 1966 Mustang coupe for sale. It has it's original V8 289 4 barrel engine and it is a 4 speed car from the factory. This car is an "A Code" car. I Have owned the car for 2 years. We have been driving it regularly for the past 7 months or so since I have done all the work listed. I found this car stored inside a closed up plumbing shop here in Kentucky where it had been sitting for over 27 years unused! The car was very clean with the exception of a little rust over the rear wheels. I replaced the rear quarter panels and outer wheel houses and painted the car the original color again, which is Ivy Green metallic. The interior is black. All the floors are original in the car as are the trunk floors. The doors, fenders and hood are all original. The car was stripped to the metal and refinished correctly with base coat / clear coat urethane paint from PPG. The bottom is all undercoated. Rails, rockers, shock towers, torque boxes etc are all in excellent condition with no rust evident. Here is a list of other new parts installed: New windshield and gasket. New back window gasket All exterior chrome, bumpers, gas cap etc is new (i have the quarter inserts as well but did not install them yet) New engine wiring harness New electronic ignition system New Holley carb New gas tank, fuel pump and lines New standard drum brakes all the way around New factory style dual exhaust with trumpets and GT valance panel New pony seat covers New carpet and door panels New radiator New tail, park and reverse lights New battery and tray New factrory style deluxe chrome wheels and BFG radial tires This car is basically an excellent drivable restored car. It was all done basically back to stock with only a couple exceptions you may see in the list above. I like to keep them as stock as possible, especially with one as clean as this one was to start with. Everything works on this car, even the reverse lights and the hazard flashers! The car is an excellent drivable restoration, not some trailer queen because I like to use my cars.
