Vehicle Detail

This is a 1999 Ford F250 with the 7.3L powerstroke turbo diesel engine and 2wd automatic transmission. I bought this truck at an auto auction a couple months ago in Conroe, Texas just north of Houston. Most of the vehicles sold at this particular sale are new car trades and very high quality vehicles. I have been driving to this sale from Dallas every week for the past year, but this truck ended up with some kind of minor issue with it and I have never picked it up from the auction. Here is what happened. I bought this truck at a good price, especially considering how hard it is to find a good strong 7.3L turbo diesel. I went out and put the truck on the test track like I do every vehicle I purchase there and gave it a go to see if I thought I could have a driver drive it back without any problems. This truck passed the test and we took it out of the auction and filled it with a full tank of diesel and headed out to the highway. It died a couple times and the battery connections were bad, so we were having issues with getting it to restart. I went to WalMart and got some new battery connections and installed them and there was no longer an issue with the truck restarting, but it still cut off from time to time. I had plenty of other cars waiting back at the sale, so I told my driver to just take it back and drive something else just to be sure he would make it back. Well, here we are 2 months later and I have yet to have it shipped to Dallas and I have also not contacted any mechanic in the Conroe area as I don't anyone down there. Since I have 96 cars right now in inventory, I am thinking that it might be just easier to offer someone a great deal on eBay and give myself more time to work on others that I already have back to Dallas. SO HERE IT IS!!!! CONDITION: I drove this vehicle only for about 1/4 mile personally, but my driver drove it a total of probably 10 miles. It has been a couple months and I do not have the truck directly in front of me since it is still at the auction, but I am going to describe it to the best of my memory........but keep reading because I think this is going to make a GREAT 7.3L for someone with not much effort and at a GREAT DEAL!! First of all, the issue at hand is that it cuts out and needs to be restarted. It never has trouble restarting and it doesn't seem to have any issues while it is running. I don't know if it is an injector or what. The turbo felt like it kicked in when I drove it, so I am not expecting that to be the issue, but I really have no idea. It had cold a/c and I did shift it through all of the gears to make sure the transmission shifted. The windshield is broken and the spare tire is on the truck, but the factory rim is in the bed with a blown out tire. It needs a good detail, but I think the interior was pretty nice with no rips or tears, only cleanable stains. I am listing this truck as a project or rebuildable, but only because I am not 100% sure of the condition since I really haven't driven it much. Expect some mechanic work to be needed, although I am thinking that the issues are mostly minor. I am going to sell it cheap enough though that you will definitely be on the winning side even if you do spend a little money making it perfect again. I will pretty much have to meet you in Conroe to get the truck out of the auction for you, but I will work with you to make sure we can meet up and you can get your truck. I welcome all questions, but in this case I have pretty much said everything I know, but I will try to answer them to the best of my ability. GOOD LUCK! This truck will be sold to the highest bidder. Sale will start at $100. and there will be a VERY LOW RESERVE! So bid often and bid with confidence. Please bid only if you intend to purchase this vehicle. We will not end the auction early for a bidder to purchase the car early. This is one you can REALLY OWN! Any questions can be answered through email or directly at 214 727 8179. A $500. non-refundable deposit will be required within 48 hrs of auction close and the balance will be due within 10 days. All shipping costs will be paid by the buyer. Shipping arrangements will be made by buyer. Vehicle is sold AS-IS. New out of state owner will be sent clean and clear title via certified mail (usually within 30 days) with only a $50. documentary fee charged. Check with your local DMV to determine taxes you may owe in your home state. Texas residents charged 6.25% tax plus transfer, documentary fee and vehicle inventory tax. Cash, cashiers check or money order only please....wire transfers can be arranged. GOOD LUCK!***On Sep-11-11 at 20:58:28 PDT, seller added the following information: I've had several emails asking what the reserve is and I usually don't disclose that, but in this case the bidding is so close to hitting the reserve that I am going to let the secret out......$2900 breaks the reserve but it should do more than that so be sure to be logged in for the final seconds. GOOD LUCK!
