Vehicle Detail

1972 Triumph TR 6 numbers correct. This car has had extensive work done to it to make it a very relaible and pleasurable ride. The engine boasts of 165 lbs compresssion very equal to each cylinder. It has no transmission noise or problems shifting. It is very smooth at 80 mph! and Oil pressure is 45 psi at idle at normal operating temps higher on acceleration. I have drivin the car to distances of over 300 miles in a day and it stays at normal operating temp even on hot summer days. Radiator has been cleaned and reconditioned professionally three years ago as well as a new clutch installed at that time. A new windscreen has just been installed last month with new seal and trim. Brakes and Clutch hydraulics were completely replaced and are 2 years old. The older paint job still presents well (previous owner did it in the 80's). There are a few blemishes such as bubbling of paint (drivers door by mirror and small spot by headlight) and few touch-up of scratches here and there but the car presents itself well enough to win ribbons at car shows that I have attended. Tires are Kelly brand, and still have the nubs on them and new inner-tubes were installed. The paint on wheels was professionally renewed a the time of new tire install last year. Red Line spare tire, extra hub cap and jack are present. Interior has had new carpet, the rest including the wood dash is original in good shape with character! Seats are excellent new foam was installed last year and made. The folding top is usable, its metal frame is in excellent condition. but does not button on the sides. The undercarrage and frame are solid and rust free. Rear differential mounts renewed this year and all u-joints checked and greased at the time. Also last year the frame was reinforced at the final drive mount and new rubber mounted installed. The original design was poor on these cars and has had professional welding by a friend who builds race car frames and industrial equipment. Odometer reads 23,xxx miles title reads unrelable milage. The headlights turn signals and brake lights are reliable because the light bulb sockets have been improved upon (Buckeye Triumph Club recommendation from their website). All lenses are in like new shape with the exception of front right side light which has a chip in it. Many new rubber parts have been installed: gas tank seal, door weather strips, motor and trans mount. A tonneau cover is included but the zipper needs work, the trunk trim is original and complete, including the working trunk light. Wipers work, chrome is in great shape except the license plate light housing is pitted. Original mirror has been painted black. Original seat belts are in good shape, one unit still has the kangle sticker on it. The front suspension is restored with new tie rod ends, rack bushings and new ball joint. Minor fault discovered when servicing rear shocks this week. TR will need new rear shock link and will be replaced for BUY IT NOW bidder. Please note a couple of the photos show the old redline tires no longer on the car and the headrests for the seats are included with the car but are not in couple of the photos.
