Vehicle Detail
Autobahn Auto (VA Dealer# 21348) specializes in service, repairs and sales, of Mercedes Benz and other foreign made automobiles. My name is Martin and I'm the owner of Autobahn Auto. Since we became a member of local insurance auction in 2010, I have started in addition, buying and repairing older Mercedes, Volkswagens and other foreign cars. Auto-body repair has always been one of my personal favorites and I get a real kick out of buying and repairing them. In addition I also like to upgrade each car to the fullest. As you can see the Jetta has 04 tail lights (Brand new!!!) and chrome molding all around, just like the 2004/05 Jetta models. www.MartinBartloff.com I bought the Jetta with a very minor tap on the right rear corner. You will NOT see any signs where this Jetta had been damaged, it is completely restored to factory specs and no after market parts were used. She has brand new tail lights, brand new turn signal lights (In fenders,) brand new $1,500 dollar paint. She looks GORGEOUS!!!!!! Runs and drives AWESOME!!! 1. Brand new paint. 2. Updated, 2002 and newer, bigger glove compartment. 3. Brand new Engine speed sensor (G28) 4. Brand new OEM 2004 style tail lights Despite the high mileage, the Jetta is in great mechanical condition, does NOT leak a drop of oil, yes you heard me, Engine and transmission are BONE DRY. The AC blows super cold!!!!! The car is mechanically sound and you can drive her across the country, safely if you need to. The interior is very clean. The tires have 80% tread left, although they a little noisy from not being rotated in the past. Don't wait if you are seriously interested, I will not refuse a reasonable offer. Many of my ebay auctions end early due to local sales and reasonable offers by ebay members. Don't ask what my reserve is, I won't tell unless the auction is about to end. Reason being is, I always make adjustments to the reserve to meet the current bids. I suggest you make an offer instead. If you like more photos, or have any questions, just ask!!! I urge you to check my feedback, NOT ONCE have I received a negative feedback!!! That's because I don't lie or add any sugar to my description. I am well known to be a straight shooter and my customers appreciate years of honesty and quality service from Autobahn Auto. If you like to fly in and drive her home, I will be glad to pick you up from the airport or Amtrak station. Also a major Greyhound bus station is just within walking distance from Autobahn Auto. By the way, I am German, that's why "Autobahn Auto." If you have have 0, or less then 5 feedback points, I'd like you to contact me prior, before placing your bid. You may already know there are lot of spoof bidders around and these listings are too costly to be restarted for dealers like me. The Jetta does not come with any warranty and she is sold AS IS, WHERE IS. Full payment has to be made within 7 days after the end of auction. Winning bidder is responsible for pick up. Very fast, great on gas, no rust. Rare VR6 engine VR6 with a 5speed. Brand new 1,500 dollar paint. Comes with a FREE, signed copy of my category, Top-Ten bestseller novel "Torn From Normal." No Joke!!! On Jun-21-11 at 08:08:10 PDT, seller added the following information: Attention, I just lost my last week's auction of a C280 to a spoof bidder. I should have followed my gut feeling and canceled their bids before the auction ended. So, this is a reminder, if you have less than 5 ebay feedback points, I will CANCEL your bids if you are the winning bidder, near the end of any and all my auctions. To prevent cancellation, you must contact me via ebay and provide a phone number, or other contact information. On Jul-10-11 at 20:16:44 PDT, seller added the following information: Folks, PLEASE understand why the Ebay Auto Check shows "Title problem, possible total loss, title registered to insurance agency." I just now received a question from a ebayer, asking me what kind of problem he can expect registering the vehicle in VA, due to the "Ebay Auto Check" "problem with title detected." When you own an older car and somebody hits you in the back, no matter how bad the damage, the insurance company will pay you off and take the car. They do NOT take you old car to a junk yard, you old car will go to an insurance auction, with a CLEAN title, due to age and mileage (Like this Jetta) People like me, who own shops, get the opportunity to bid and win said vehicles much like on ebay. Just because the car wasn't worth to repair to the insurance, does NOT mean the car will never see the road again. Means only that the insurance company would have spend more money to fix it, than the car's fair market value. Now they will consider all their costs before they take your car and pay you. They consider the cost of the rental car for you, while your car would be in the shop for repairs. All those combined mean it's cheaper for the insurance to pay you what they think the car was worth just prior to the accident. It does NOT mean a shop like mine couldn't fix the car for much less, and completely restore the wrecked car to factory specs. Older, high mileage cars don't get written up as "Salvage." They retain a complete clear title. All Auto Check is telling you is that said vehicle was registered to an insurance company, hint, probable total loss. (Total loss not meaning Car completely lost. No, meaning not worth to repair for the insurance company. Let me go deeper and explain repaired cars with a "brand." meaning "prior salvage" Here the vehicle sustained more than 75% damage, to what the vehicle was worth just prior before the accident. These cars are rebuildable and registrable after they have been inspected and cleared by the DMV. When I sell such a vehicle (I do sometimes) I will list the title as "Salvage," and I will explain this in detail in my description. Often even post a photo or two of the vehicle before I repaired it. By the time car dealer like me list them on Ebay, they have already been inspected and cleared by the DMV. Some dealer sell them wrecked as they are on ebay, with a Salvage title. If they have not been inspected by the DMV yet, because they are still wrecked, seller like me will explain this in our description. Please if you ever have any questions about this, PLEASE ask me, I know all the regulations and rules. DON'T assume I'm offering you a car ou would have problems registering. I will NEVER. This Jetta never had a salvage brand, did not need an inspection due to age and prior damage.
