Car No. TD 22713 Engine No. XPAG TD2 23075 (matching engine tag) Body Type 22381 Condition: Excellent, it is a summer weather driver, zero rust, it does have a scratch or two, and a tiny rock chip here or there and some minor under carriage road grime. Still, as you can see in the pictures, it could be shown in smaller car shows without hesitation "as is" anytime. If you know your MG TDs you will not be disappointed!!! Second owner:Purchased car Sept. 2003, started restoration, and completed frame & body May 2006 Registered car March 17, 2005. Rebuilt differential with 4.33 MGA ring & pinion April 2005 October 2006 removed engine & did a complete rebuild, finished May 2007. Car driven 7,500+ miles on rebuilt engine starting in June 2007 (weather permitting) Complete Restoration: (pictorial restoration records on CD comes with car) A complete tub tear down was done and all the wood replaced except dash plywood. All wood sealed & painted prior to reassembly, have pictures to verify. Sheet metal work included replacing right wheel arch, both rocker panels, & bulkhead foot plate. Prior to paint all metal was stripped bare including frame, wheels, & complete drive train. All body panels were primed with PPG two part epoxy primer on both sides prior to assembly. Finish paint was PPG two-part acrylic enamel Engine rebuild: Cylinders bored to max .100” Moss pistons & rings All bearings replaced crank main & connecting rod journals were standard size Moss Motors rear main seal conversion installed Flywheel resurfaced & 4 pounds of weight removed Engine crank con rods & pistons were balanced by machine shop. smooth running @ high RPM’s Camshaft & lifters reground by Delta Camshaft with new timing chain Head resurfaced -.030”, valves & valve guides replaced rocker arm adjusting screws & nuts replaced New head & main bearing studs & nuts & connecting rod bolts & nuts replaced. Carburetors complete rebuild including replacing throttle shafts Distributor bearings replaced using Pertronix electronic ignition in place of points (still have original point setup) Cooling system bearings & seal in pump & new recore 3 row brass radiator Complete wiring harness by Rhode Island Wiring Master and wheel cylinders re-kitted using Cartel silicone brake fluid Tan stay fast convertible top Side curtain frames without coverings Starter rebuilt by J&S, generator rebuilt by company in Georgia.
