This M109R has been garaged and well cared for. Last year, I had a dealer repair the rough first to second gear shifting problem that is typical of these bikes. Suzuki was great and supplied a newly designed gear and some other parts that corrected the shifting problem. I did this repair at about 15000 miles and had only put about 2000 miles on the bike when it began knocking and then abruptly stopped running. The engine has unknown major internal damage but the rest of the bike is in excellent condition. I believe that something happened when the engine was reassembled from the gear repair, but I can't prove it. This bike has been my favorite but after this happened I decided to just get rid of it and buy a new machine.
