Vehicle Detail

1965 AMC American 330 NO RESERVE!! I have for sale my classic 1965 American 330. It has only a few details to be complete but I have to move on. Outside: The paint and body are in decent shape and I have tried to show it's flaws in pictures and my description as best as I can. The paint looks good and has a glossy shine but does have it's flaws. A run under the driver side door handle (pic) and scratches here and there. A good buffing will probably help with the scratches. There are some faded spots also but some wax might take that out also. The passenger side wheel beauty rings are missing, along with the trunk lock and gas cap (pic). The only rust I can see is behind the driver side rear tire (pic) and in the truck (pic). The tires are in decent shape and comes with spare (pic) and jack. I have taken pictures of various flaws in the paint with some dings and such. Front windshield glass is cracked but does not obstruct drivers view. Any additional pics needed just let me know. But then again you can just come out and see it for yourself. Inside: Door panels are good, rear seat has been recovered (did it myself) and bucket seats installed (not original). Dash is solid with no rust and I even have a radio to install for the next owner. The carpet, from previous owner, is split down the middle and the seam is obvious (pic). There is no headliner and the drivers visor does not have the end mounting rod but it does manage to stay up enough to drive. Gauges do not work but everything is there. The speedometer does work but bounces a little at lower speeds. Overall the interior is in good shape and the floorboards are completely solid. Engine: The 196 OHV runs great and pulls strong. I have had the carburetor and starter rebuilt in the last two months and also replaced the fuel pump. I had a recent tune up to include cap, rotor, condenser, plug wires, plugs, fuel filter, and air filter. The intake gasket was replaced to fix a vacuum leak. The water pump has started to leak from the weep hole with it sits. After the engine has been warmed up and parked, the pump doesn't leak. Just leaks after cool-down for a little bit, then stops leaking completely. Overall a good running engine. Drive train: The shifting levers on the end of the column (3 in-the-tree) are loose from years of use. The transmission shifts perfectly but the levers make for some getting use to and require some time to get it to line up, also known as "Shaking the tree". The overdrive is not currently hooked up and I have not troubleshot it. I believe it is the solenoid though and have read articles on how to bypass it or just replace it. Other than the column shifting levers being loose and the overdrive not being hooked up the drive train is good. In addition, the brakes are very solid and have a nice firm pedal.
