My father bought this truck new in late 1984 or early 1985, he passed in 1994 and it's pretty much sat inside his garage ever since getting only a 1000 or so miles put on each year. It was transferred to me a few years back, I installed the hitch & flat wiring plug to pull my 16 aluminum bass boat to the local lake & would use it for pleasure driving, it really turns the heads, drives & pulls the boat great. I've purchased a 4 wheel drive so it's time to let it go, the starting bid is my reserve. In 1996 I had the truck professionally repainted due to the original paint flaking off, they stripped to to bare metal & it's held up really good with the exception of right behind the passenger rear wheel (see pics) many years ago dad backed into a car and had it repaired, other than that and a few dings, scuffs & minor scratches that's it, never been wrecked and has remained unmolested. If I were to grade this truck on a scale of 10 1 (junk) 10 (like new) I would give it a 7.5 or 8. Truck is equipped with a 305 carberated (4bbl), automatic w/overdrive, tilt, cruise, am/fm (radio works great but tuner shield is cracked), sliding rear window, original owners manual portfolio, full gauges with very accurate clock, floor mats, rubber bed mat, bed rails, front bumper guards, 20 year old Michelin tires, original rally wheels & a clear title. I also have the fiberglass topper painted to match for sale in another auction. Work that I know it will need to make it better are as follows, new headliner, carpet is faded, a/c needs charged, fix the rear passenger quarter or you can do as I did & drive it as is, it gets a lot of attention, new tires wouldn't hurt a thing (these are about 30% remaining tread). For as long as I remember it has put out a puff of blue smoke when cold starting but goes away quickly, I took it to a mechanic who said it probably needs valve guides but as long as it's not using oil that it would be OK & it doesn't. Maintenance has always been done on a regular basis in fact the last few times it didn't even have 1000 miles on the oil. I am selling this truck as-is, where-is & with no warranty what-so-ever!
