Up for sale is a California Mustang. Built in San Jose and delivered to Los Angeles. I'm not sure how long it stayed in California but it was at least until 1985 as evidenced from the UCLA stickers still on the windshield. It looks like all the glass is original as it is all stamped "CarLite Tempered Glass". All the windows open and close with ease. Door, trunk and hood also work as they should. The interior is excellent from headliner to rug. Lights pop on when either door is opened. Retains its original radio but is not hooked up because of the hidden audio system with remote that DOES work ( I don't know if original radio works). Converted to dual master cylinder with power brakes at some point. Still has the original seat belts. Original scissors jack and racheting lug wrench are in the trunk in a custom bag that matches the mat and spare tire cover Something you rarely see on a 6 cyliner Mustang is power steering and it makes the car an ease to park. Also rarely seen is the intact smog system fitted to California cars. The original data plate is on the door and the original vin stamping is on the left front inner fender. The motor and transmission were both completely rebuilt with hardly any miles on them ( I have all receipts). The front end has new control arms with ball joints, new idler arm and any bushing or wear item that showed play. Front end is tight. New exhaust from front to rear. Brakes, tires, wheel cyclinders... all good. The car was repainted in it's original Ivy Green Metallic and still has a nice shine but it is not "show car" quality. The car is a very presentable driver but don't expect a trailer queen. The most amazing feature of this car is every panel is original! There are date codes on all panels. All the floors, frame rails, shock towers, battery tray, everything is original. When's the last time you saw that? I realize it's not a V-8 but it's not $17,000 either. I am listing this car for a friend as he does not have an account but I can probably answer most of your questions. Please ask before bidding, not after.
