This is a true British Sports Car in the 60’s style. Totally original, this car was made for the British market with no alterations for the US market or tacky restorations. I bought this car while living in England in 1984. It is a right hand drive. It was previously owned and lovingly cared for by the Treasurer of the Morgan club in Southampton. For its entire life care has been taken to maintain the authentic integrity of the model. In 1980 the interior was redone in leather at the Morgan factory. The car comes with luggage rack, spare wire wheel, top, side windows, tonneau cover, and boot cover. The body is the classic British Racing Green color, with tan leather interior. The car is in great shape, no rust, wood rot or mechanic problems, but has been a road car and has a few stone chips on the finish. This Morgan is a classic British sports car, no radio, best when double clutching, and you turn into and out of curves. The suspension is designed to hug the road, not keep you coffee from spilling. When you drive this car you sit 5” off the floorboards on a leather cushion. Everything about this car is designed to put you in touch with the road, not insulate you from it. The 2138cc triumph engine (engine number CT21206) runs great, purrs like a contented tiger and is very reliable, a version of this engine was used in Massy Ferguson tractors. But the Morgan version has higher revs, dual carbs and combines with the gearing to give the car great acceleration without the finicky, high maintenance problems of other sports cars from this era. And the sound as you go through the gears, double clutching, revving or dropping rpm’s to shift is the icing on the cake, the siren call of the open road. The odometer shows 16,140, but I can’t fine any verification that this is correct. I’ve put on only 3,000 miles since I imported it in 1986. I have the maintenance history since 1972. I’ve retained the British registration and the original low number British license plates. Obviously, the car also has US registration.
