Has never failed me, and always gets looks, thumbs up and questions, even girls taking photos on the freeway! It has a factory Toyota 13B-T turbo diesel engine that starts easily and runs smoothly. Tons of torque, awesome on the street and off-road. 3” lift kit, shocks and springs, excellent 33x12.5x15 BFG All-Terrain tires with at least 80% tread on them, 33” BFG spare tire, Front ARB bull bar with two recovery points, ready for a winch. 5-speed “H55F” manual transmission with compound low first gear. The rig is a total animal off-road. This Land Cruiser is unstoppable in Low Range! Factory rear limited slip differential with original "LSD oil only" sticker. Full floater rear axle. 12V electrical system, has a dual battery setup for extra juice and safety when out in the sticks. Comes with the original owner’s manual for the BJ74 (unobtanium, really rare!) so you know how and where everything operates. Also has work receipts, and various cool original sales paperwork, and spare belts and filter. The FRP top comes off to go convertible but I have never removed it. Has a factory roll bar. She’s been my daily driver and weekend warrior wheeling truck. Got small dents, bumps and scratches on the body. Nothing major, rear left turn signal area is the deepest and it’s not all that bad. See photos. Some mostly minor surface rust on fenders and body, touched a few spots up with Toyota paint, worst is in the A-pillars area where the previous owner did rust repair/replacement around the bottom of the windshield frame. Floor pans, frame and sills are all good. The windshield is hinged and drops down. Lovely ICE COLD air conditioning! I’ve put in new water hoses, new thermostat, new thermostat housing, air cleaner/intake coupler and two new batteries. LX-spec means electric door locks and windows, A/C, power steering, tachometer, factory front “TURBO” stitched suspension seats--you can dial them in for your weight and a super smooth ride. Gotta love Toyota! Room for six, and the suspension seats are in great condition. Rear seats fold forward and down. Has factory digital clock with alarm and stopwatch functions. On-the-fly electronic push button control from 2H to 4H (two-wheel drive to 4-wheel drive High range). Engine idle is factory adjustable from inside the cabin via a knob! Power steering, clutch, transmission, brakes, manual Aisin hubs, 4WD transfer case all work well. All gauges, turbo light and tachometer work fine. Nitpicks include a temperature lever than doesn’t go all the way to the right, two small holes in top of the windshield fluid reservoir, manual EDIC control for engine shutoff (professionally mounted dash pull cable), crack in dashboard trim, a single rear window defroster connector needs to be resoldered, and the white has faded from the shift lever knob so the 5-speed shift pattern is kind of hard to see. Original carpet is in good shape with original sound deadening layer underneath. There is one carpet patch behind center console. 2" receiver hitch for towing or recovery point, and 7-pin trailer lights harness. Did I mention the ice-cold air conditioning which has been upgraded to modern R134a? :-) Killer Sony stereo with CD player and aux iPod input! Also has a CB radio and power amplifier though not hooked up, and original Aussie antenna. Storage area/tray built above sun visors, holds tons of stuff. 12V outlet in rear cargo area. Rear windows are tinted. Factory tool kit and jack, parts stamped "Toyota" on them. Solid rig, GREAT diesel fuel economy (around 22mpg city, 27mpg highway), seats six, plenty of room for family, gear, dogs, guns (perfect hunting rig), expeditions, whatever you want to do, powerful turbo diesel engine runs strong, it’s a Land Cruiser, it can take it. Sorry, no PayPal, cashiers check or cash please. Sold as is with no stated or implied warranties. Inspection and questions welcome! 100% clear title. I checked into California “smogging” and it does not have to be smogged as it is a 1986 and already imported and titled. Just bring the CA DMV the title, get it reg’ed and never a smog check. No sales to Nigeria or deposed dictators. No reserve on the auction, winning bid takes it. Thank you!
