Vehicle Detail
THE BEST: I bought this truck from my cousin about 3 years ago. It used to be a South Carolina Department of Natural Resources vehicle and obviously it has been very well maintained and when they picked it or had it made or whatever, they certainly got it right with this one. It looks incredible and runs incredible and is the most dependable truck I've ever had. One of the sharpest, best looking and running trucks out there. The black and tan just looks good any which way you look at it and the 5.4L V-8 makes it super quick and will haul or pull anything you can get hooked to it. I really can't say enough good things about the power and handling. I really like having all that smooth unstoppable power to play with and it will go over, around or thru anything. The truck has a full 8 foot bed and will haul even the 49 x 97 inch melamine sheets and of course the regular 4 x 8 sheets also. I has the towing package also with the four speed automatic transmission and four wheel drive in high or low. I've pulled a 24 foot enclosed car hauler a few times and various smaller trailers when my Chevy 2500 was in the shop for repairs. Every time I do something different with it I'm always impressed and amazed at how well the truck handles it. I've pulled a huge fully loaded 26 foot diesel Penske moving truck out of a mud pit and looking back I see the driver waving to slow down! hahaha! I've had lots of great experiences with it and for it to be suitable for a daily driver with pretty good gas mileage and still be able to do all those things, I couldn't ask more from ANY truck. That's what it was made to do and it does it better than any. THE REST: The battery cables got corroded and I replaced them and the battery about a year ago. About the same time I had a COP go bad (that's one of the 8 coils over the spark plugs, each plug has one) and I took it to Firestone Complete Auto Care for a full top to bottom inside and out check-up. I mentioned a squeaking in the front when I turned the steering wheel that was squeaking when and since I bought it. While I was there I decided to replace the front end ball joints (that's what was squeaking), upper/lower control arms both, etc, (still has Lifetime Alignment Service on it), COP , plugs, belts, ignition coil, fluids and filters, tires rotated, etc, and even with $1 to meals on wheels came to $1433.09. So I fixed the COP and ball joints and all related things that could even remotely possibly happen in the future. There is a ding on the left side of the rear bumper from turning a trailer too tight, each arm rest has a hole and crack, seat has two slight cuts about 1 inch long, and dash has two places from where a laptop mount or shotgun was mounted I'm assuming from when it was a South Carolina Department of Natural Resources truck. It is NOT flawless but as you can see from the photos it is a super immaculately clean and sharp looking truck that has been overly maintained and never failed to start and runs great and will do so for a long long time. INCLUDES: I'm including the heavy duty chains I've used to save other peoples butt with, a heavy duty set of 16 foot 4 gauge jumper cables in the same box I bought them in and a 700 watt DC to AC converter which you can leave in it or take out.
