1968 Chevrolet Caprice Coupe with 19,868 original miles. Equipped with the optional 250 horsepower 327, this car runs as new. The column shifted Powerglide Transmission is also in perfect operating condition. The original owner added an aftermarket Sears Air Conditioning unit that was installed in the summer of 1969. Options include power steering, tinted windshield, fender skirts, factory undercoating, and push button AM radio. The mostly original Grotto Blue lacquer paint has minor touch ups that were completed using the original lacquer paint. Original factory installed splatter paint trunk finish is in excellent condition, as is the bumper jack and hardware. The engine compartment is also as factory installed with all correct stencil and chalk markings with the exception of add on air conditioning. The master cylinder was replaced as well as the original battery. The original date coded master cylinder that was removed from the car will be included in the sale. The factory bench seat cloth interior is in impeccable condition and feels and smells as new free of any rip or tears. The factory interior and exterior bright work is in excellent condition. Every component and accessory on this car is in factory working order right down to the ignition buzzer when the door is opened. The Sears installed Air Conditioning is also fully operational. The original 8.25 X 14” whitewall tires mounted on the original steel wheels are in excellent original condition. Overall this is a museum quality un-restored original automobile.
