Vehicle Detail

1970 Chevrolet C-10 Custom Factory AC, PS, PB, 86K Miles Good Condition LOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hello Folks and what we have up for auction today is a really sound solid chevy truck. this truck is all factory with the exception of the wheels that is on it and comes loaded with a lot of working factory options that were offered in 1970. the truck is showing 86712 miles and the guy i bought it off of said it to be true but i have no way of proving this but i will say this everything that i have look at on this truck leads me to believe it to be true. the truck retains its original 350ci V-8 255 horse 4 bbl carb engine suffix coded TAX. the engines runs very good with just alittle puff of smoke when you first crank it up every now and then after it setts for awhile, this clears right up and isn't a problem running wise. i went over the engine pretty good and it looks like its never been into or rebuilt. it idles smooth and has no noises at all. the engine holds good oil preassure hot and at idle. the transmission is a turbo 350 that shifts good and smooth and is the original short shaft version. the driveline has had all new u-joints and carrier bearing replaced recently and is in good shape. the brake hoses and lines have been recently changed and should be good to go for many years to come. the truck comes factory equipt with air conditioning, power steering, power brakes, that all work great with no leaks and the air blows cold. the body is really sound and solid all underneith, floor pans look good, inner rockers and body mounts look great, bottom of the bed floor looks amazing, inner fenders and radiator core support looks good also. the only spots of rust out period that i found on the truck is on the passenger side outer rocker and is very minor { please look at the pictures } the cab corners are good with no rust out as well as the bottom of the tail gate is very solid too. all the factory rivetts in the bottom of the bed floor and around the rear wheel wells are in good shape. the body on this 41 year old truck is very good. the truck has had some minor passenger side fender repair and some paint work sometime in its life because the paint is thin there { please look at the picts } the paint is good driver quality and would need repainting for show. all the chrome trim is in good driver condition and all the glasses are good too. everything works on the truck including all guages [ yep the gas gauge too lol }, speedometer, wipers, horn, interior light, dash lights, back-up lights and the factory am-fm radio plays clear. the seat covers and foam are really good and theres no cracks in the dash pad. the factory floor mat looks really good, door panels are the deluxe kind and the arm rests are good too. the truck has the factory correct original seat belts that are in good condition. the door locks even works smooth. i installed a brand new glove box lock from lmc when i opened it to get a picture of the factory order manifest on the inside of the glove box door and the original lock flew apart. you really have to see this truck to believe how good this ole truck has survived 41 years. it runs, drives, and stops great, this truck truelly is a time capsual. the wheels are aluminum saw blade type and the tires are worn pretty good. they are not dry rotted just worn out tread wise so it will need tires. i personally preffer the original wheels but when i bought the truck this was what was on it, but i did get the original hubcaps that is included in the auction. i purchased the truck in georgia and i have all the proper paperwork that you will need to get the truck registered in your state. i am willing to work with your shipper or you can bring a trailor and load the truck up or you can drive it, { althouth like i stated before the tires are worn out } other than the tires, the truck is top shelf. this is a great example of a very good ole southern truck that is a blast from the past of simpler times that has gone by. when trucks were trucks and not expensive luxury vehicles that the working man and farmer have less in their homestead or farm than what it costs to purchase one nowadays. when are the car companies ever going to learn? please look at all the pictures and ask all questions and i'll get back to you as soon as possible. i have the truck up for sale locally and reserve the right to end the auction early if it sales. pick up and payment is expected within 7 days of auction close. cash payment in hand in person is expected within 7 days of auction close. all items are sold as is, where is. please look at my feedback and bid with confidence, good luck and happy bidding, thanks On Aug-05-11 at 15:20:40 PDT, seller added the following information: i just wanted to note that the spare tire is under the bed and the jack and the handles are mounted behind the seat. another neat fact according to vin number this is the 39th truck that chevy built in 1970.
