Vehicle Detail

1948 Fiat Topolino nostalgic gasser/altered. The Fiat was a very popular drag car in the 60’s and early 70’s. This car was built to replicate the nostalgic drag race car of this era. The car features a one piece fiberglass tilt body. The paint is a beautiful show quality PPG base/clear Synergy Green. The paint is flawless with no dirt or orange peel. The name “Lickity Split” is done in old school gold leaf lettering and buried in the clear coat and can be barely felt with the hand. The grille is custom airbrushed and looks almost real. Many people at the car shows are amazed about how realistic it is. The frame is a custom made from 2”X3” steel and painted gloss black. The engine is a basically stock 454 Chevy with a turbo 350, B&M shifter, and a narrowed 9” Ford rear end with 4.11 gears. Mounted in the rear of the car is a spun aluminum gas tank, and custom aluminum radiator with electric fan. The rear wheels are Weld Racing with Mickey Thompson 33X21.5X15 tires. Front wheels are Mickey Thompson Aluminum 5 spoke. The car is equipped with headlights, LED taillights, and brake lights, and a flip down hidden license plate. The car is basically a stock 454 engine, but because of the light weight design, is still very fast. I have never had it to the drag strip, just driven to local car shows. Because the engine is not radical, it starts runs and drives with no issues. The cooling system holds approx. 4gal of coolant and cruises down at 150 to 160 degrees and does not overheat. When built, the car body lifted up and down with linear actuators powered by a remote FOB. After a few hundred body tilts, the actuators gave out and now the car tilts manually. The mounts are still there for the actuators and new ones can be replaced for a couple hundred dollars. Old actuators come with the car. I have youtube of the actuators in action. The car has a 1948 Fiat Michigan title. Over $35K invested. I am serious about selling this car and selling with NO RESERVE. This is a very nice car, well built and not junk. This car is available for inspection. I am not a frequent E Bay buyer/seller and my rating reflects this. I have attempted to describe this car as honestly and accurately as possible. This is not a fraud/scam and the car actually exists. I am just not an experienced E Bay seller. I may deliver the car at a very reasonable rate. See youtube below.
