Welcome. You are bidding on an original BMW 1988 M5. This car has been very well maintained since new and it has a folder of original service records, manuals, etc. I have a clean California title in my name and current California Smog. It still retains all of the original VIN stickers on all doors, decklid, hood, etc. The paint is showing some age in some spots and according to a receit has been touched up in the past. This is a solid rust free California car. Interior: This car still retains the original leather interior. It has working heated seats which are great in the winter. All of the sunroofs motors and window motors work. All of the gauges, mirrors and power seats switches also work. This car due to the high milage is showing wear. The rear seats and front seats are worn. The original radio has been replaced with a aftermarket unit that works great. This car has the factory premium sound. Engine/Transmission: Do not let the high miles deter you. This was a very well maintained car that is an excellent driver.This engine fires right up and makes amazing power as it should. I am not certain if this engine has been rebuilt in the past, as I cannot seem to find a document proving this. The original 5spd transmission has a Dinan short shift kit on it. The transmission shifts very smoothly and does not make any noise. The factory LSD differential works great and does not howl. This is a very solid mechanically sorted out car. It has been well cared for and well serviced. This car has a recent performance exhaust and has passed California smog with flying colors. Wheels/Suspension: This car has a nice set of real Borbet wheels with nice tires installed. It has a new front suspension components installed and it is very smooth. Overall: This is a very smooth and responsive car. I have enjoyed driving this car and the new owner will be very pleaseed with it. Please let me know if you have any questions.
