Vehicle Detail
Up for auction is a 1988 Suzuki Samurai. True mileage unknown. This has been a project of mine for the past few years. Its amazing how much time and money you can invest in something in a span of a few years. But after thinking about selling this and adding up the parts I could remember, it was painfully obvious that there was over $8,000 invested. (and that is where I stopped counting). Plus countless hours of labor. Below is a list of some of the things that have been purchased/installed. * 1.6 16 valve engine out of a 2000 Esteem with about 30,000 original miles. All outer engine parts and ECM are from a 96 Tracker.* Trail Tough YJ kit with missing links.* Center force clutch from Trail Tough* 6.1 transfer case with all new bearings and seals.* 15 x 10 American Outlaw II wheels* Nitto Terra Grapplers all terrain 35x12.50-15 tires* Rocky Road High Steer kit (yes, before I knew better)* Front axle out of a 1980 Toyota Truck with 4.11 gears. This was completely gone thru - new lock rite locker. All new bearings and seals, Trail gear kit to install Toyota front axle in Samurai, 3rd member armor, axle gusset, and outer gussets or ball supports. Also had knuckles cut and turned for proper castor.* Rear axle out of a 1974 (I think) Land Cruiser- completely gone thru with new bearings and seals, power trax locker and disc brake conversion.* Front and rear drive shafts are Toyota and cut to fit with Rat adapters.* Brass shifter bushing in transmission and transfer case* Front and rear bumper I made and were built to last.* Rock rails and skid plate also I built myself, skid plate is 1/4 inch aluminum plate.* Transfer case brackets I also made with after market solid mounts.* Panhard bar I also made from chrome molly tube and is much better than any that is purchased.* Gas tank skid plate is rock 4 x 4 * New Jeep YJ springs front and rear from Trail Tough* Bushwacker 6 inch fender flares, also from Trail Tough* Sidekick power steering system with install kit.* After market Sony radio with CD player* Front seats I believe are out of a Toyota Supra.* 2 1/4 exhaust with flowmaster muffler* Aftermarket washable air filter* Front extended shock towers from Trail Tough* Doetch tech front shocks * Rancho 5000 rear shocks* Extended brake lines - front and rear* Starter click fix relay kit* Trail Tough unbreakable rear trans mount* Spider Trax emergency brake kit Recently painted with Dupont Centari 5000 acrylic urethane paint while the paint job may look good in the picture, the body work is less than perfect. Patchwork, dings and waves. This thing runs, drives and handles GREAT. And will pretty much go where ever you point it. Maybe best suited as an off-road toy depending on the lift laws in your state. Price the parts and you will realize there is no way to build one like this for the reserve price. Please ask any and all questions. Interested parties I encourage you to come look and drive before bidding. As with any modified vehicle buyers assumes all liability incurred while operating this vehicle. I am sure there are lots I forgot, so please don't hesitate to ask. Bidders with zero feedback, please contact before bidding or your bid will be cancelled. Also keep in mind, all the parts for this have been bought over a span of about 6 years, so alot of the parts underneath may have surface rust and not look new, in reality have very few miles on them.Again, don't hesitate to contact me, either by email or 717-514-2830 or 717-774-2467.Thanks, Todd
