Up for auction is my 1970 Chevelle SS 454 LS5 (Not a Clone). It was painted Cranberry Red 2yrs ago with PPG Base coat clear coat. Has new bumpers, lots of new chrome trim, new headliner, new carpet, seats have been refurbished, new console and many other new parts! Suspension has been gone through front and rear (Tie Rod ends, A-arm bushings, springs etc.). The transmission is a Muncie M-21 close ratio with a new Hurst shifter assembly, it shifts fine and makes no noise but the plastic gear for the speedometer will need to be replaced to make the speedometer work. The motor is a 1973 454 it starts and runs great, no smoke, but has a slight miss at highway speed, could be plugs, wires, fuel, not sure. It has a 12 bolt posi-rear end with 4:11 gears. 3"exhaust with Hooker Headers, Dual electric fans on a thermostatic switch with a Nathans aluminum radiator and has been coverted to a serpentine belts with a March pully system. MSD6AL ignition system with a MSD Billet Distributer. Other things wrong with the car are the factory tack stopped working, the fuel gauge doesn't work and the steering wheel has cracks in it (common for age). I have owned the car for 3yrs and have put maybe 1200 miles on the car. It is a blast to drive but it is time for me to move on with another project.
