1979 PORSCHE 911 SC Carrera Please read the ad in its entirety for all info, if you have any other questions please contact me Original California car made its way to the Great Lakes region near 2000, and has had 3 owners since new. Car is a great driver, very strong and powerful pulls through the rpm's. It is a original 3.0L engine with a late 3.2L intake and a Megasquirt (http://www.megasquirt.info/) fuel injection system, which runs on a modern fuel rail style system electronic fuel injectors with a programable control unit that allows you to tune the specs from the control of a laptop (which is included in this sale) - the winner of this auction will recieve a HP laptop with the software and neccesary cables for plug and play, to control the settings desired to run this Porsche. It is currently set up to run track/street, from what I was told by previous owner. His intentions was to build a weekend track car that he can still drive on the street. When starting it initially you have to feather the throttle a bit, (PLEASE NOTE I have NOT had the timing checked on it). I have plugged in the lap top and looked at the schematics and live tune, but I did not change or modify anything, I have done some research and there is a link included above for all your questions or tech info and HOW TO's. The Megasquirt is a popular system still being used today for easy upgrades and increase in horsepower. In my comparison to a stock 3.0L Carrera, it is way faster, the revs pull alot harder and rev quicker (yes it is more tunning and the exhaust and intake sytem with less clutter to choke it down) but this car moves and it moves very strong and quickly, I have had it up to the 3digit mark in no time, stable no pulls or wobbles or shakes. Genuine reason for selling, I am in quest for a 930. It also has a Bursch full exhaust system included with headders, for that smooth and powerful sound that the Porsche flat 6 motor is known to produce, a/c and heat have been deleted since it is running full headers. It has an aftermarket direct air filter . The fully polished Fuchs wheels are in excellent shape, the brakes are good, under body is clean and solid, door bottoms are clean, front nose panel is clean, battery tray area clean, hinges are solid, heater tubes are solid. It has been parked since 2008. Previous owner did not start or drive the car since. Yes it is running and driving now. It has the original Euro style headlights H4, euro style turn signals and 150 m.p.h speedo. (the German lic. plate is NOT included) sorry. Things that have been replaced: new plugs, new rotor, new ignition accumulator new cap new fuel filter new battery on 7-15-11. Interior is clean, rear shelf is clean with NO speakers, normal original interior wear, driver seat has a tear in the seat area, headliner is great, missing sunvisors and the driver side door pocket.
