1974 BMW 2002 SPECIAL BAUR EDITION Great running/driving car. Solid car! 60+ PHOTOS OF THIS CAR BELOW. This is a rare 1974 Bmw 2002 BAUR EDITION. They were a limited production so there aren't many around after 37 years. This is a great color for this BMW! The color, like the car was ahead of its time back then. Look at all the Mfg's that have brought a similar color back like Chevy, Dodge and Lambo. This is a nice unmolested 2002. The best we can tell it has 102557 miles which may be accurate based on its great condition. You could drive and enjoy the car while making needed repairs and improvements or, it would be the perfect candidate for a full restoration. There are no signs of major rust on the car it does have a couple areas where it has some surface rust coming through (please see photos). The interior is in great condition. As you can see, someone added RECARO front seats. It looks like it still has its original black back seat which is in good condition. The amazing thing is the dash which has no cracks on it (someone did drill a couple small holes - please see the phots - which can be easily repaired). The targa top is nice and there is no rips or tears on the vinyl covering. The rear fold-down top is in great condition and the vinyl window is crystal clear. This is as close to a convertible as you can get when you remove the top and fold down the back window. This car gets as much attention as a Lamborghini or Ferrari because of the color and the rarity of the Baur Edition. Mechanically the car is also very tight. It starts right up and delivers nice smooth power to the rear wheels through the upgraded 5-speed transmission. The shifter changes gears as smoothly as a hot knife through butter and the 5 speed makes the car a joy to drive on the freeway and helps save gas. Please read our TOS at the end of the photos.
