Vehicle Detail

Offered for auction is this really nice 1971 Oldsmobile ambulance/hearse combination built by the Cotner-Bevington division of the Wayne Corporation of Blytheville, Arkansas. Other than a one-time repaint, it is an amazing all-original car with less than 87,000 miles. The interior is absolutely gorgeous and in perfect condition, both in the driver compartment and the patient compartment in the rear. Car has clear Arizona title. Like a variety of professional car collectors, I have a number of vehicles in my fleet and the time has come to "thin the herd" a bit, which is why this particular car is being offered for sale. The car runs smooth and trouble free. The suspension is tight. Included are detachable landau panels on both sides of the car with chrome landau bars. The full factory ambulance window treatments are there along with the gurney. This vehicle has both front and rear heating and air conditioning with separate controls front and rear. The air conditioning compressor isn’t working, but I have a brand new rebuilt compressor that goes with the car. There are no mechanical issues that I am aware of. The car has a vinyl top in very good condition. The paint has a few small chips here and there, but the car shows very well. There are a few bubbles in the paint and some slight rust on the bumper ends which are detailed in the photos in this auction. Nothing is missing from the car. It has the original fender skirts, detachable Federal Beacon Ray light on the roof and a Federal electro-mechanical siren under the hood. Mounted on the floor in the driver compartment is a top-of-the-line CB radio that can be detached and removed from the car. The factory Oldsmobile in-dash am/fm stereo radio works. The rear compartment is flawless with gold trim and the headliner is equally perfect. There is much more to this car that can't be covered here, so if you have any questions, please contact me by calling (818) 203-9648 during daytime Pacific Daylight time. Personal inspections prior to bidding are certainly welcome, yet since the car could be purchased during such an inspection, I have the right to cancel this listing at any time. Since I am a private party, there is no warranty expressed or implied on this car. I reserve the right to disqualify bids from those that have little or no feedback. A non-refundable deposit of $1,000 credited to my paypal account is required within 24 hours after at the end of the auction with the balance to be paid no later than three days after the close of the auction. Please refrain from bidding if you cannot agree to those terms. I do not have shipping capabilities, so that will have to be arranged by the buyer. (Burbank, California pick-up). Also remember that this is a used car. It is not perfect nor in showroom condition. Please assume that when you bid. Remember, you are the person bidding on the car and naming the price that you are willing to pay. Make your bid realizing that anything can happen to a used car that is 40 years old. I have represented this car to the best of my knowledge. Once again, contact me before you bid, or better yet, come out and see the car for yourself. I don't mind answering inquiries but the last thing I want is somebody to win the auction with the highest bid, only to back-out of the deal because of buyer remorse or they expected something more than they got. I have 100% positive feedback because I accurately represent what I'm selling.
