I am relisting my 1982 scrambler thanks to the buyer in South Carolina that could not come thru with the cash ! The jeep will be 30 years old in 4 months , good solid full frame off restoration with a Performance 350 v8 conversion installed the correct way . . This is the nicest scrambler you will ever see anywhere . My scrambler is not a tinker toy , no need to ever open the hood for anything - just turn the key and go , its built like a bulldozer but yet drives like a SUV with the power of a sports car . Great highway driver at any speed on the interstate or around town . This scrambler fits in at the finest extablishments or the darkest of trails, its made for whatever you can put it to - this one will not break . It's built to last and looks incredible.I assure you everything is performance upgraded . Measures 27" to sidestep , 82" total with top on and 76-78" wide so it will clear any standard garage door .The jeep draws crowds anywhere you go ..I often see people taking pictures standing next to it as a backdrop . This is definately not your average CJ ---It has 44 front and 44 rear with matching 4:56 gears ,warn hubs -1 piece axles with Tru-Trac front and Power - Lok rear lockers (turns fine on pavement) agr steering with borgeson shafts and billstien suspension with reverse shackle conversion on new 37 x14.5x15 toyo open country tires(quiet on the road ) new cepek rims , extended fender flares(installed in factory drilled holes ),flush mount led taillights .... motor is new pepboys shortblock 350, mild cam, roller rockers ,accel ignition and wires , holley carb, edelbrock intake , headman headers (inside the frame )with full back dual exaust . oil pump/ water pump / radiator / starter / serpentine belt system inclu a/c compressor (works but never added evap or blower motor ) are all performance parts . tranny is a perfect 7r4 automatic ,300 transfer . all with low miles and "no" problems . Clean stock dash with clean wireing underneath . The lights all work including dash lights,cd player,gauges and wipers also the windshield washers and original cigarett lighter ,The windshield is upgraded to double channel So the wipers will not buckle when you use them. The passenger seat flips forward ,drivers Seat is on adjustable slide . Has power steering and upgraded power disc brakes so it stops on a dime -parking brake works also ..The doors are lined up and close just fine with all new seals - the latches alI work,,have a key for the locks ,the doors are not split between the windows and the wing windows are functional . The exaust is quiet when cruising until you step on it then it roars nicely like a performance motor should. There is no spare tire carrier on scramblers it came mounted to the drivers side rollbar; Top and doors remove easily to hang in garage .Dual rear seats are placed in back facing each other for passengers to talk ( much nicer ) however if you remove the bulkhead for leg room you can turn center seat forward. Can ride 6 adults either way with plenty of leg room it's a scrambler .There are no stone chips in the base coat clear coat metalic paint ,its near perfect for a few years old , there are no dents either . Has a 1 inch scratch in the drivers door from when it was off the jeep that is of medium visability, I did include a picture of it but very hard to see . No scratches in the dash it is perfect , The " paint matching" spotless engine compartment incl firewall , Hood ,inner fenders and nose are all free of dirt , grease /oil and No black spray paint . odometer reads 27,316 on 4yr restoration 8,000 0n 2 yr old V 8 conversion with recent upgrades .This scrambler has been driven and proven it self time and time again (it will drive cross country ) .My jeep was NOT put together last week for the next guy to problem solve, its all done correctly for the long term - you just get in and drive it , that simple . I have more photos to forward if requested - there are no worries with my jeep .none at all . purchase with 99% confidence its much nicer than the photos , there are a lot of reflections in most of the photos . serious buyers lets talk you just might be surprised ..............In addition , Yes you can PURCHASE a brand new full soft top for $719 thru 4wd hardware in black only with clear windows only (or possibly somewhere else ). there are also several USED full hard tops out there ( have only seen black available) $900 -1300 depending on the seller.
