This is a NO RESERVE auction and the winning bidder will take come this Rare 1988 BMW 535Is. This BMW is considered by many to be the last true sports car made by BMW. This car deserves to be brought back to life to be once again admired by all car lovers. It has 3.4L Inline 6 cylinder matched to 5 speed manual transmission. It has a clean Carfax report that indicates that this is a 1 owner car. For being a 23 year old car, it still runs and drives like a true sports car. The body in good condition. I would say a 7.5 out of 10. Paint still shines in the light, there are minor dents and starches all seem from regular wear and tear from being on the road 23 years. Engine, fires up no problem and still runs very strong, however as you can see on the pictures it will need to be freshened up. Transmission is in good working order, all gears shift smoothly and the clutch has plenty life left. It drives very well, no noises while driving, Suspensions still feel great, Even at 90Mph still rides smooth. The interior is a 6 out of 10. All buttons and gadgets work. But as you can see from he pictures time and the sun have taken its toll. It has leather power seats. Power windows, power locks, cruise control, A/C. Original BMW AM/FM tape radio, with previous owner installing a 6 disc Alpine CD changer. Miles show are 185,741 however the miles do not roll anymore. Carfax shows the last odometer reading at 180K on 5/8/2006. Therefore true miles are unknown. But do not let that turn you off from this one of a kind sports car. It has lots of potential for someone that has the time and money to get it back to its true sports car status. Sadly we do not have any service records.
