Up for bid is my 1960 Ford F250 pickup. It is a rare long bed. The body is generally in good condition. The bed is solid, with some rust in the floors, minor rust in one lower fender while the other has some bubbling. The tires are ok and have held air for the past few months without being driven. I’m unsure of the age as they were on the truck when I bought it a couple of years ago. According to the previous owner the truck was from Tennessee and has spent its life in the South. The truck does run but needs a carb adjustment. It idles a little fast. The engine is a 390 V8 and had less than 5000 miles on it from a rebuild when I purchased it in 2008. I have only put 900 miles on it since purchase. I put on a new Edelbrock 600 cfm carb along with a new gas tank and new fuel line along with points and plugs. The transmission is an automatic and still shifts very well. I’m unsure if any work was completed on it prior to purchase. It has a dual exhaust with flow master mufflers. There is a small exhaust leak just beyond the engine that will need repair. This is a small welding repair. The odometer indicates 83,561 but actual miles are unknown. The only major issue is the brakes. It has drum brakes with a modern dual master cylinder system. They are not stopping the truck adequately and I would not trust them on the road without repair. I start the truck every week and up until the start of the summer, drove it around the storage lot where it is stored. I have a camper in front of it currently. Included in the auction are the following miscellaneous items: An original shop manual, parts and accessory catalog, extra set of parking light lenses in the original box, operator’s manual, original sales brochure, two extra hood emblems (used, good condition), two original painted (primer) headlight bezels, assorted window gaskets (new), truck cover. Also included is the original AM radio. It was taken out prior to purchase but I never re-installed. I maxed out the number of pictures for the ad but I can email pics of the manuals and hood emblems if needed. The successful high bidder will be required to submit a $1,000.00 deposit (via Paypal) within 48 hours of the close of the auction to secure the vehicle. This is understanding that the vehicle will remain available for purchase until the deposit has been received. Buyer agrees to pay the remaining balance due within 7 business days of the close of the auction. All financial transactions must be completed before delivery of the vehicle. The truck is also listed locally and I reserve the right to end this listing at anytime should the vehicle no longer be available for sale.
