Up for bid is our 1929 Mercedes “Fiber-Fab” SSK 100 kit car. My wife and I are selling our car that we have enjoyed cruising in. It reminds us of an era gone by and every one waves at you with a smile and of course we Ahooga them back. We have clear Iowa title in hand. Car was inspected by Iowa DOT for new car title. This is a fun car to drive with a 1974 2.0 Ford engine coupled to a 4 speed manual transmission and mellowed out with a glass pack muffler for character. This car has 5 new Kelly radial tires, engine flushed and new coolant, rear end pumpkin grease changed, new voltage regulator and muffler. I have the tonneau cover, side curtains and top cover but have not used them since the top was moved to the coup position. The side curtains will need some adjustment because of the top move. Any convertible shop could do this. I never used them so never fitted them. Reason for selling is that we are buying another kit car and have room for only one beautiful car at a time. We love this car and hope you will too. It is an old car so there are some paint blemishes and the engine drips oil. We usually get 29-31mpg. Buy the car and drive it home. It never over heats and the oil pressure is around 60-65 lbs. I think the float may be getting heavy because it smells a little gassy of late. Be aware that Kit cars are hard to finance and insurance can be tricky. Best of luck bidding on our car which I know we will miss. Car has windshield wind wings with handles. Seat Belts for front seats only. Ahooga Horn hooked up and trumpets work but are not hooked up. Fog lights 4” 55Watt New radial tires. (5) Slam latch double catch door closures. Hi/Low head lights with dimmer switch and hi beam indicator. Turn signals front and back. Windshield wipers (no washer) Side view mirror and windshield rear view mirror. Speedometer in both Kilo/and Miles per hour reads miles for register. Amp gauge, temp gauge, oil gauge and the gas gauge not working. Running boards with non-slip rubber matting and fender protection guards. I have a copy of the owner’s manual with build and wiring diagrams.
