Vehicle Detail

One of 1360 manual transmission cars made! Even rarer than that, this car has the optional 3:08 traction-lok axle from the factory! Up for auction is a very nice 1990 Ford Mustang LX Convertible Limited Edition with the powerful 5.0L engine and manual transmission. This is a nice original, unmodified car with recent paint. Being a Texas car most of its life, the body is in near perfect condition, with exception of some very minor scratches and paint chips. This car is truly 100% rust free. This car is just as it came from the factory except for a few improvements. A K&N air filter has been added in the stock airbox and newer pony wheels have been added with new BF Goodrich rubber within the last 4000 miles. Both the stock air filter, the OEM turbine wheels and tires, and other parts are included with the sale of the car. The car also has a Magnaflow Stainless Steel cat-back exhaust system, giving it a nice throaty sound, although not obnoxious. This car is priced to sell. I have a clean CT title in hand ready to transfer. The car runs and drives perfectly, shifts smoothly, and stops quietly and quickly. The A/C has been recently converted to R-134A and blows ice-cold. Some new parts I have installed while in my possession: Air filter, new Motorcraft Battery, new headlights and marker lights up front, new door weatherstripping and door sills, new CD/iPod compatible stereo, pony wheels and tires. Car is in excellent condition for a car of its age. The interior is showing wear, but in very nice condition. Some wear is apparent on the driver seat where the driver enters and exits the vehicle and the car could probably use new carpets inside to really make the interior pop. Keep in mind, the interior is 100% original to the best of my knowledge, so it is not show quality, but is very presentable. The windshield has a minor chip which should be repaired. The convertible top operates well, and was reinforced by a previous owner near a portion that cracked. This is no way effects its operation, and is barely visible with the top down and folded up. The top appears to be original and in good condition, there are no rips and tears. The doors could use new door pins and alignment as they appear to be original. Car leaks a very minimal amount of oil, leaking from the valve covers. This would be an easy fix for a Mustang enthusiast. Just also noticed that the power mirror switch will need replacement, and I have isolated the trouble to the switch. Included with the sale are parts from this car and other Mustangs I have owned in the past. Since this is my last Mustang, all parts go with it. Included are an outdoor car cover, OEM turbine wheels and good tires, air filter, extra steering wheel air bag, 2 spare rear window motors, new thermostat, PCV valve, spark plug wires, aftermarket AC eliminator pulley, K&N conical filter, and Motorcraft coolant. Again, most of these items are not from this vehicle, but leftover fox parts I have accumulated over the years. I will require a $500 deposit via PayPal within 24 hours of auction end, with full payment due and pickup of vehicle within 7 days. I may be able to arrange for help with local delivery, but i will need to discuss this with you prior to the end of the auction. Under no circumstances am I committing to this until we verbally agree to a LOCAL location. Read below for details on the 7-up Mustang, taken from http://90limited7up.stangnet.com/. The 7-UP Connection The 7-UP Bottling Company was to give away thirty of these cars at the 1990 National Collegiate Athletic Association basketball finals in the United States. In an audience participation contest, anyone sinking a basket from centre court with one try, was to drive home in one of the cars. At the last minute, the contest was canceled. 1990 Limited Edtion Mustang Convertible - General Information Production of these cars started in December of 1989, with only two cars being built. Full production began February 2, 1990 with the final car being built May 29, 1990. The convertibles all started out as coupes, and had the hardtop removed prior to shipment to Cars & Concepts of Brighton, MI. The plan was to build 5,000 but only 4,103 were built. The breakdown of the production numbers is as follows: - Total production: 4,103 - Number of 5-Speeds: 1,360 - Number of Automatics: 2,743 - Number of vehicles exported: 261 The 1990 Limited Edition LX Convertible has some features which differentiate it from other Mustang models.
