Complete PHS information packet. *NOTE: Last spring the car was involved in a collision with a small boulder/large rock of decomposing granite. This was on a mountain road in the dark, I was going about 45mph. The rock went through the lower front air damn, bent the center link, and made a small hole in the front of the oil pan. I have pictures of the rock and the insurance claim pictures from Geico of the damage. The very moment of impact I pulled over and shut off the engine. I towed the car home on a flat bed, it NEVER went to an insurance shop, it never left my personal garage. Because the rock penetrated the oil pan, Geico decided it was a total loss. I bought the car back from Geico and repaired it so it does have a salvage title but I have done all of the proper paper work to get it full registered, smogged, and street legal. Again, it never left my garage. Below is a list of brand new parts I installed on the car to complete the repairs. Lower front air dam (GM), radiator (GM), AC condensor (GM), steering center link (Spohn), both tie-rod ends (Spohn), oil pan (GM), 1-piece FelPro oil pan gasket, upper radiator mount (GM), header y-pipe (Summit). I also decided to do an R&R on the engine because of the mileage. I has the valve seals on the heads replaced and all valves checked. I honed all the cylinders and replaced the rings and bearings. I did not touch the cam or cam bearings but I have oil psi just like new so I saw no need. I have driven the car about 3,000 miles since and not a single issue. I had the best chassis shop in town check it out top to bottom and it's straight as can be, no issue from the accident or anything else. The last time I had the car up for sale I was asking $6,500. Due to the accident and salvage title, even though it has been fully repaired, I am now asking $5,500. I am selling because I have a 1956 Corvette that eats money faster than an expensive divorce lawyer!
