Vehicle Detail
If you are looking for a modern remake of the iconic Triumph Bonneville, then you located one of the finest in the country in condition and upgrades. Classic Tuxedo Black and Opal White. The bike is owned by a 57 year old mechanical engineer (me) and long time Triumph enthusiast. The bike is in flawless condition. Condition: Nobody else has ridden it. Meticulously maintained and ‘never seen rain.’ The underside of the bike is as clean as the top side. The bike has been waxed with Carnauba more than ridden and detailed after each ride. There are no discernible scratches on the bike. The chain has been frequently lubed and properly tensioned, clutch adjusted with correct freeplay, tires ridden at proper pressure etc. This bike has been pampered and always keep inside in a dry environment. The bike needs nothing other than a new owner who will enjoy it as much as I have. 5,450 miles. I am the original owner with a clear title. Factory spec Mobil1 4T synthetic oil changes performed well prior to recommended change intervals. A few words about tuning and the parts that were chosen to upgrade the bike to its current form: Tuning: The engine is completely stock and has never been touched. 2009 Bonnevilles are electronic fuel injected and many know of the virtues of EFI and why I waited for the 2009 model however throttle response on a stock EFI bike from the factory is a bit abrupt which can be resolved by tuning. Air injection and O2 sensors have been deleted to improve performance. All stock emission control related parts will be provided with the bike but you won’t want to return it to its original tune from the factory. The ECU map has also been upgraded to match fueling requirements of the factory TORS exhaust. Tuning changes dramatically improve throttle response and eliminate popping on the overrun also resulting in cooler exhaust temperature. You will not find a better running EFI Bonneville. In summary the bike starts, runs and shifts flawlessly. Upgrades to the bike: - Napoleon bar end mirrors - Triumph Sixty8 sprocket cover - LSL billet headlight bracket - D9 billet instrument bracket - MAS polished alloy chain guard (original included as well) - Joker billet ignition relocation bracket - Superbright LED indicator light kit - Hella Headlight with Beaver Creek relay for increased candlepower - Alloy LED Lucas tail light - British Customs bullet turn signals - Factory TORS Exhaust Most believe the factory lighting which is plastic is not in keeping with the lines or beauty of the Bonneville. Nor is the brightness of stock lighting optimum for safety. All lighting has been replaced with period correct higher end alloy lighting from British Customs which dramatically improves the aesthetic of the bike in addition to improving lighting performance. Bar end mirrors are a cosmetic improvement but also improve rearward vision as your shoulders no longer block the view behind. The D9 layflat instrument bracket is minimalist and a design true to early Bonnevilles to rid the modern bike of its bunny ear look in front. D9 makes the finest instrument brackets available. The LSL headlight bracket and MAS alloy chain guard are not only beautiful pieces and best in class for design and quality but also reduce weight. Factory TORS exhaust are Triumph issue and considered by most enthusiasts as the best balance of comfortable noise level and performance. To characterize the changes made…above are the parts Triumph should have incorporated into the Bonneville but it would increase cost prohibitively…$1K+ in upgraded components (excluding labor). If you are a fan of the Hinkley Bonneville, then what I have written will resonate with you. A note about comparing to the 2011 T100: There are virtually no changes between 2009 and 2011 T100’s excepting the 2009 bike has more true to the period analog gauges versus LCD gauges and most believe including me that LCD gauges on a retro classic is not in keeping with the bike’s design scheme. The 2009 EFI Bonneville is therefore considered more desirable. The T100 model is the top of the line Bonneville with 2 color paint scheme, 1 inch diameter handlebars with higher end controls, fork gaiters, thicker padded seat with 19 inch front/spoked wheels. About Payment: $500 Paypal is required from the winning bidder within 48 hrs upon auction end. Remainder is due in the form of a cashier’s check from a US bank within 7 days. No wire transfers.
