You are bidding on my 1964 Series IIA Land Rover. I purchased the vehicle while living in England in 2003. Over the next year all major engine and electrical systems were restored. The mechanical work was performed by a UK Land Rover restoration specialist (Burwood 4X4) and included, engine rebuild with new head (Sept 03) complete electrical rewiring (April 04), new exhaust (Sept 03), rebuild windscreen wiper motors (June 04). Parabolic springs and new floor pans were installed by the previous owner. Additionally, it has new doors with updated side mirrors, new tilt (top) and many other cosmetic fixes. I have receipts for all parts and work and British MOT (UK vehicle inspection) certificates from 1996 - 2004. When I purchased the vehicle in 2003 it had 84,500 miles and the previous owner used it daily. However, I can’t guaranteed the original mileage because at some point in time the speedometer was changed. Since I have owned the Land Rover I have driven it less than 2,000 miles and the current odometer reading is 86,250. In September 2004 I imported this right-hand drive vehicle into the US and it is registered as an antique vehicle in Pennsylvania. It starts beautifully and leaks surprisingly little oil, for a Land Rover. It has always been garaged and I have never driven off road or in snow. All body panels are in excellent condition and no signs of rust on the frame. The new body panels were painted over time and the paint is not an exact match, but it's not immediately obvious. I had planned to repaint the entire vehicle and replace the front swivel seals, but never had the time. It breaks my heart to sell this Land Rover, but I travel extensively and have not had the opportunity to drive the vehicle as much as I would like. I also have the owners manual, parts catalogue and some spare parts.
