1958 Oldsmobile Super 88 4 Door Sedan with FACTORY AIR CONDITIONING I am only the third owner of this Classic, the second owner had this car in Northwest Texas for 40 years. I have owned it since 2003 and have driven it less than 500 miles. I have done extensive renovation on this vehicle since that time, with a nod towards preserving the originality and patina. This has been a labor of love and a nostalgia trip! Overall, I would rate this vehicle's condition as a 7 out of 10. I am selling my Baby as I am downsizing. Vehicle has the Olds 371 cubic inch, 4 barrel carburetor V-8 engine with Jet-Away Hydramatic transmission. The car has original power steering, original power brakes, rare rear air shocks, and original factory option spinner wheel covers. Car is located in Minden, Nevada, near Lake Tahoe and 40 miles south of Reno, home of "Hot August Nights." The following is a partial list of work done: Engine removed and completely rebuilt to factory specifications in a machine shop (have receipts.) All hoses and belts replaced. New fuel pump with added electric booster pump. Rebuilt 4 barrel carburetor. Radiator rebuilt and new water pump installed. Factory Air Conditioning rebuilt, works perfectly and has Freon refrigerant. Rebuilt items include: compressor, condenser, expansion valve, temperature control valve, drier-filter-sightglass & muffler. Heater works. Bodywork and repaint done in 2004. Body stripped of most brightwork, repainted in original Alaskan White with Festival red roof added. Replaced all fasteners for brightwork and badges with new hardware. Replaced all rubber weatherstripping for doors, door handles, hood, trunk, windows and windshield. Original upholstery with new cloth edging & new hog rings. Original door panels with some new backing. Original dash pad. Inside floor panels patched due to window leaks. All new carpeting throughout Vintage lap belts installed in front seat. Windlace replaced where necessary. Extra included. Radio works, rear deck speaker added. All gauges work, clock not working. New glove box liner. New radio antenna, new side view mirror Most exterior light lenses replaced, no cracks or chips in any lenses. All exterior, interior & dash lights work. New windshield and rubber channel Many front and rear bumper pieces and right rear tail light assembly replaced. Vintage Cooper whitewall tires. Brakes checked and parts replaced as needed. Keep in mind that this car is 53 years old and is not perfect. It has a few minor transmission and differential leaks. This vintage beauty always turns heads and gets the “thumbs up” wherever you go!
