This 1967 Willy's DJ5 (2 wd CJ5) was found in Northeastern, CT, where it had been used for holiday parades. It had 17, 208 original miles and was in pristine condition when found. All metal is original. One quarter size area of rust was found and repaired during restoration. The following information about this Jeep was provided by Willys Overland Motors in Toledo, Ohio. The Jeep is a 1967 DJ5, Serial #850512042, color Glacier White ( Paint #395/Trim #247). There were 674 units made in 1967 and this Jeep is #12042 (started at #11619 and ended at #12293). It has the original 134 cubic inch, 4 cylinder F head motor with 17,208 original miles. Other than the new dark red/maroon paint it has the following new items: a new cap, rotor, spark plugs, condenser and points, fender flares, steering wheel, hot rod directional shifter, signal lights, triple gauge pack, glove box and handcrafted skull knob shifter ($125). The original seats were reupholstered ($300). This Jeep came with only the front seats. THIS YEAR AND MODEL JEEP HAD NO REAR SEATS. A new windshield with all new rubber was installed two weeks ago ($300). The entire interior of the Jeep is rhino lined black, as is, the engine compartment and all wheel wells. Also has brand new Cooper Cobra tires and special order American Racing rims ($1200 tires/rims). Over 5K invested. RESERVE IS ONLY $3,250. Honest seller. After transporting newly painted Jeep found two small blemishes that you can see in final two pictures. Painter will be touching it up prior to end of sale.
