I am the second owner of this little classic. It was originally purchased in Nov. 1962 by my brother-in-laws uncle. He was a house painter all his life and this was his work partner. In 1997 he had to be in a nursing home and I acquired the van. I have owned it for 14 years and have put 4000 miles in that time. It is about as close to original as you can get. I'll tell you the good then the bad. It runs good, shifts fine, no clutch problems or steering problems. Everything works including the wipers, lights, horn, heater fan, turn signals. The glass is all perfect, the doors are all good and rust free and all the door locks work. It has good tires and wheels, the interior is actually very nice, no damage to the dash and the floors aren't bad except where some paint is on the floors from being a paint van. Now for the bad, it has a little front damage that wasn't fixed very well and needs to be fixed properly. It has rust on the drivers side lower side panel. The passenger side is rust free as is the floor inside the van. The left rear corner where the gas filler tube is located is also rusted. Both these areas can be found in Macs auto parts in there patch panels. There is a crease in the right side door in the back, but not terrible. The paint is pretty much gone, but original. Top speed is 55mph and no more. Would be suicide on the interstate. Any questions just ask. You are responsible for any shipping related costs, but I can help with any kind of loading.
