I purchased this vehicle new in December, 2007 from a dealer in Fayetteville, NC. I used it a lot over the next two years, making trips as long as 40mi. With records I kept the cost per mile was about 2 cents. One battery was replace in 2008 and I replaced the other batteries one at a time in late 2010. The new batteries from Interstate Battery are 150Ah like the original and are identical to the original except with different terminals. I have not used the vehicle much since then, but did do a test run of 18.5 miles and the batteries seemed to still have capacity. The 2008 battery may need to be replaced sometime but seem to be serviceable now. The front driver seat has some damage on the side and may need seat cover eventually. The vehicle has been upgraded to operate at more than 35 MPH and it still has plenty of torque to go up my steep driveway. This is a fun car to drive for and is good for driving locally for groceries and to eat Please let me know if you have additional questions. I have enjoyed owning the car but am ready to upgrade.On Aug-02-11 at 13:00:18 PDT, seller added the following information: Note added 8/2/11: One upgrade I forgot to mention is that I replace the original large specialized vehicle 120 Volt plug with a standard three prong 120 Volt plug. The original 120 volt cable was #14 awg and 15 feet long. I now use and include with the sale a 25 ft. #12 awg cable for charging. Using the standarg plug allows for some flexibility in charging.
