Private owner selling this 1998 Ford Ranger XLT. I bought this truck in 2002 when it had 77,000. It has been and continues to be a good truck. It runs great and with the 5 speed it has surprising pick-up and power for a 4 cylinder, while getting 22-24 mpg. I’ve only had one engine problem with it in 9 years. The MAP sensor had to be replaced in 2004. It’s had regular oil changes and filters, brakes as needed and currently has new front tires and the rears are about half worn. It’s a basic truck but has everything a work or farm truck needs in my opinion, A/C and a radio with CD player. The one problem is that temperature control is not working. The A/C works great but only in Max A/C position. And the heat works great but it puts out at the highest temp setting only. The fan speed works fine but temp setting dial does nothing. The truck does have a salvage title, but like I said it drives well. It’s in good shape with the usual wear and tear of a 13 yr old truck. Selling as is. Non smoker.
