For sale is a 1977 Dodge Truck Custom 150 4x4 with 81,973 original miles. This truck was refurbished about 10 years ago. The cab is actually a 1972 and the truck is a 1977. The truck is titled as a 1977. I'm selling this truck for my dad but for the most part I can answer any questions. To start off the truck runs and starts fine. The engine is a 360 V8. The lifters clatter and it smokes when it is first started but goes away. Some of the gauges don't work. In the pictures, the floor padding and carpet are missing. The door panels are off but they are there and are included. The wipers are off but they are there with the truck. The truck does have a 2" receiver hitch. 4x4 works fine, front brakes are new and the back brakes have about 5,000 miles. The tires only have around 6,000 miles on them but there are signs of dry cracking. (This truck has been sitting for about a year) Also in the pictures you will see the truck has a wooden bed. We are selling this truck with an actual bed for a 1977 Dodge. The bed is silver and has very minor surface rust in the bed. The bed can be seen in one of the pictures and it has been stored in a barn ever since he got it. It is buried under a lot of stuff and I wasn't about to move all of it. The bed is a fleet side and the bed is considered to be a short bed (just over 6'). Now for the not so good. As I said earlier the lifters in the engine make a clatter noise. The frame on the drivers side behind the cab has almost rusted through but has been repaired (see pictures). There are plates on both sides of the frame that have been bolted and welded on to the frame. The frame has been like this for about 10 years and we haven't had any issues with it. There is also a couple of other spots on the doors that have rust. This is actually a good truck. It would make a great plow truck for the winter. The truck is being sold as is. Must pick up.
