Vehicle Detail

FOR SALE: 1989 PORSCHE Carrera C4 "964" For sale is my 1989 PORSCHE Carrera 4 with VERY LOW ORIGINAL MILES, PORSCHE Dealer certified, Motor rebuilt 2,500 miles ago, DRIVES & LOOKS GREAT!! No dents or dings and is a non-smokers car. Current Odometer Reading: 33,166 Synopsis: vehicle offers outstanding style and condition, with all the "modern conveniences" one needs (climate control, power steering/ brakes, ABS, iPod adaptor stereo, etc.), has a freshly rebuilt engine, super low miles, is VERY fast, very strong and reliable, turns heads and gets "thumbs ups" everywhere it goes... The engine seized due to a design flaw and was rebuilt by a PORSCHE dealer with the factory correction at a cost of $15,000.00. *see receipts in pics The following items are NEW: ?Pistons, cylinder head gasket (installed as per PORSCHE to correct engine design flaw), main seal, 30k service ?Michelin Pilot Sport 2's all around ?Climate Control head unit rebuilt (electronics replaced) and A/C upgraded to R-134a refrigerant system - blows very cold!!! ?New rear shocks to stiffen rear end and further reduce squatting or "motorboating" under hard acceleration ?TURBO tie rods ?Distrbutor rebuilt ?Battery ?Pioneer AM/FM/CD/SAT READY with iPod adapter (cable on rear of the unit so routed to glove box) WITH remote (no more leaning over to passenger side radio controls...!) ?Pioneer rear speakers. ?Momo PORSCHE steering wheel (1989 964's came with "old" Carrera 3.2 steering wheel...) ?Sliver 996 gear knob with short shifter kit - it displays 6 gears but this is a 5 speed transmission. Title History/Disclosure: This beauty has a clear California title. However, once upon a time had a "reconstructed" title. Due to her desireability from local car thefts in Oregon, it was stolen and written off by the insurance company. The car was later found and had to be "re-created". Oregon is 1 of the 11 states that identifies stolen vehicles with a "salvage" title. Fast forward 3 years when the car was sold to a private party in Virginia. Virginia does not give stolen vehicles the "salvage" title but rather a "reconstructed" title because the car was legally and completely written off. Fast forward another 9 years, 2 more owners in Virginia, a repossession and $15,000+ engine rebuild and miscellanous repairs/services ... I purchased the car and brought it to Iowa. Once in Iowa, the car was given a "clear" title due to Iowa DMV guidlines. The car was never driven in the snow, salt or rain. We promptly moved 3 months later to California once again receiving another "clear" title. I now drive the car once a week to the gym and back. It stays covered and garaged every other minute of the day. I have the receipts to show all work completed and the dollar amounts spent. I would be more than happy to share them with you. Please do not hesitate to ask any questions. I would like to mention that I recently took the car in because I smelt oil, however there are no drips. My mechanic indicated that there are two minor leaks at the valve cover studs and the timing chain housing. I asked if the leaks put the engine in jeopordy and he indicated that they were minor and fairly common for a 964; especially one that isn't driven very often (I've put less than 1,000 miles on it in 14 months). This eye catcher is not a museum piece but is mechanically sound. I wouldn't hesitate to get in it right now and drive across the country. EVERYTHING ON THIS ENTIRE CAR FUNCTIONS AT OR ABOVE ORIGINAL FACTORY SPECS!!!!!! It is being sold as is as I am not a certified Porsche mechanic, just an enthuseist. I have owned 2 other 911's and this one by far is my favorite. AGAIN: THIS CAR RUNS GREAT, COSMETICALLY NICE, IS BALANCED AND A BLAST TO DRIVE!!! Please email any questions. I will happily talk with any sincere prospective buyers. Be sure to include your phone number and best time to reach you. Our expanding family warrants this beauty to go to a loving new home. **Due to several questions on the "Free Vehicle History Report by Experian" I wanted to add pictures of the CARFAX report that we have on the car. It doesn't show the 90,000 nor does it show a conflict in mileage. The Virginia title that I received upon purchasing the car read the "actual mileage". The California title on the car reads "actual mileage". Therefore, I have no idea why this shows up. This is the first time I myself have seen this. The car just doesn't have that kind of wear on it ... inside or out. I have decided to list the car for sale locally as well. Should I receive a resonable offer before the end of the auction and the reserve has not been met, I will end the auction early. Thank you for your understanding.
