Vehicle Detail
This is a unmolested stock original vehicle from Arizona, currently in south Georgia. EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEverything works! Power steering and brakes. 304 V-8 with a 3 speed automatic transmission and 4 wheel drive. Sounds like a scout, with the original factory exhaust system. A/C, AM radio and a cigarette lighter. Mileage appears to be correct though I have no way of proving it. The vehicle runs and drives well, steering is tight. I have been on several 200 mile trips with no worries getting 15 MPG. Since it is a 1980 model, it is designed for unleaded fuel. There are a few slow oil leaks, yet I have driven it over 3,000 miles and only added one quart. It has a removable tow bar that the original owners used to tow it behind their motorhome. It has been repainted in the original factory color at some time during its life, so it looks pretty good just the way it is. However this paint is now showing some fading, along with a few small dings, scratches, and several chips from normal use. There has been some repair work on the rockers under the doors and a few other small places where the paint has been touched up. One body mount under the passenger side floor is rusty and could be replaced. All other floor boards and body mounts are solid. Hard to find a scout in this color and in this good condition. Included are the more desirable metal name emblems if you would like to install them. The interior is original and still soft and supple. There is one small tear on the drivers side seat. The vinyl floor is in good condition with only one small tear. I don't believe the top and ceiling has ever been removed. The front window and door glass are factory clear green tint. The top and rear glass have an after market dark tint. Still has the factory original spare tire. I like this scout just the way it is. A real trip back in time, just to drive it. I keep it garaged so it stays in good shape. Good daily driver.
