Vehicle Detail

I am selling my 1970 Impala coupe that I purchased from the second owner in January of this year. I hate to sell it because it has proven to be a great car but I have bought my dream car recently and I now need to make room for it and pay off the charge card. My loss, your gain. This is one fine machine priced way below it's actual value because I need to liquidate. As the story goes on this little beauty it was purchased new in Yreka CA by a lady who's name I won't reveal here for the sake of privacy. But she bought it, moved to Reno, Nevada at some point, and owned it until she died. This is what I got from the second owner who bought it from her estate and was going to restore it but being retired himself, opted to sell it so he and his wife could travel and enjoy retirement. I bought it to use as my daily driver and have been quite happy with it. The car is registered in CA into 2012 and the title is clear and in the name of myself and a friend of mine but is signed off ready to go. The car sports a 350 V8 with TH350 transmission. According to my mechanic who went over the car, it has a crate motor with what he guesses to be really low mileage (around 20,000) based on the condition the motor. Compression check reads 145-150 lbs all the way round. However, I have no receipts to prove all this but I have put 5,000 miles on the car since I bought it and it runs, drives, shifts, and handles beautifully. For options it has power steering and power brakes (disc on the front), factory air that has just been serviced and re-charged with R-12, tinted glass, AM pushbutton radio with rear speaker(s), trunk light and underhood light (complete with original burned out bulb), and 15inch Ralley Wheels on near new tires. NOTE: I will include with the car the additional options that I have picked up since buying the car at no additional cost: A tilt steering column that matches the interior of this car, complete power seat set up from a 1969 Caprice and a complete set of power window regulators motors and wiring (complete to my knowledge) pulled from a 1970 Caprice custom coupe (same body style as this Impala but snazzier). I do not gaurentee that the options will work without servicing them, but they are correct for the car and thus will bolt right in. The car also comes with the original owners manual and Pro-Tect-O Plate attached to the new car warrenty showing the name of the first owner and original purchase date of the car. This cars trim tag shows a unusual color combo. It was originally Shadow Gray with saddle interior and a black vinyl roof. As can be seen in the pics, it has been repainted white at some point. The original shadow gray is still present on the inside of the trunk lid but the rest of the cars jams were painted white. The body is pretty straight but has multiple checks, scratches, a couple of small dents and a little cancer behind the rear wheel on the passenger side. The previous owner glued carpet down in the trunk so I cannot attest to how solid it is but, judging by the floors pans, I would guess it is solid. All of the glass is in very good shape, as well as, the interior. There is one crack in the padded dash, the carpet is worn through on the drivers side front floor and there are small rips in the headliner. The rear seat back rest has a small split along the top. The gas gauge will sometimes get stuck near the empty mark if the car runs low on gas but it soon corrects itself after the tank is filled. I've had the headlights replaced with Halogens so I could get better night vision. The vinyl top is new per the previous owner and there is no bubbling under the fabric indicating rust issues. While I have only put one photo here I have created a photobucket account so you can see everything there is to see. Just click on the link below. http://s916.photobucket.com/albums/ad7/sacto59r/1970%20Chevrolet%20Impala/ Please feel free to ask questions. I reserve the right to end this auction at any time as I have the car for sale locally. Car is being sold as is where is and it is the responsibility of the winning bidder to arrange a transport if not picking the car up in person. And please check current rates for transport so that you don't have to blow me off in the end because you didn't realize the cost of shipping a car. I recommend www.123movers.com who can provide you a list of trasnporters with varying quotes. In fact, that is who I have hired to find my transport for my new car. Thanks for looking and please bid frequently.
