This is a 1978 Volkswagen Westfalia in really good clean condition. The motor has been rebuilt and new updates include: dual carbs, fuel pump, starter, distributor,master cylinder, battery, tires, brake disc, pads, and caliper, fuel tank, cd player and speakers, side mirrors, dashboard fan, windshield wipers. The van was painted a year ago and the rubber seals were replaced around the front windshield and under the pop-up. There are a few very small rust spots on the body. The area underneath the front windshield which usually shows some rust has been completely repaired and is rust free. The pop up works great although there are a few small tears in the canvas that have been patched. The zipper and mosquito net look great. The engine was replaced in 2008 with an engine with 29,000 miles. The interior is all original. The rear seat and top bunk look good. The two front seats are original but could use re-covering. The cabinets look good but a couple of spots on the countertops need repair. The sink, stove, fresh water tank, and ice box look really good but I have not used them. The original propane gas tank looks good but I have not used it and should be tested before use. Also included are the original dining table, the table that goes between the two front seats, the original covered box between the front seats, the child’s hammock. I have receipts for over $8,000 for the above-mentioned restoration costs. I also have parts that have been taken off. I drive this van around town all the time and it always turns heads.
