Out of storage and up for auction is this rare (310 produced) and solid Sundance Orange 1972 Pontiac GTO 455HO 4-speed survivor. This PHS documented, highly optioned car (see build sheet/PHS doc. photos) has spent its entire life in the same Iowa town and is now up for auction to the true Pontiac enthusiasts. The sheet metal, interior, and drive train (M22 4speed, and 3:55 12 bolt posi) are all original to the car. The engine under the hood is a good running Pontiac 400 (see my other auctions for a 1974 Pontiac 455HO engine that I will be listing soon). The floors, frame rails, and trunk pan are in excellent condition with only mild surface rust. The body panels and chrome trim are also in excellent shape and rust free except for the the lip/left edge of the hood and the trunk lid lip (see pics). The instrument cluster, radio, seats, and controls are all in original condition and in remarkable condition right down to the Pontiac vacuum gauge. The car runs and drives nicely as is, but should be restored back to its original greatness due to the rarity and condition of this fine muscle car.
