Up for auction is a 1999 Mercedes Benz SLK230. The car was shipped to us with a bad motor and transmission. The customer wanted us to convert it to a stick shift manual. (I've done conversions and custom work on several cars worldwide.) The project was abandoned when we diagnosed the bad motor. The engine still turns over, but very slow. We found a crack in the oil pan and most likely the previous owner ran out of oil. We removed the transmission. The condition of the transmission is unknown since we were not able to start the car. It does come with the car though! All the electronics seem to work just fine. As you can see in the photos, the top goes up and down and it does just as it should. There is no battery with the car, never had one since we got it. I used a jumper box to test the electronics. The SLK only has 107K miles on the clock, not that it matters, but that's not a whole lot for a SLK. The tires are in decent shape and so is the paint. There is no warranty and the SLK sells as is where is. What you see is what you get. I will sell worldwide, but it is up to the winning bidder to arrange shipping. I will merely assist in the loading process. I will not refuse a reasonable offer, so don't ask for the reserve, rather make an offer. Don't ask me to sell any parts. As with all my listings, I will cancel bids near the enf of auction if you have less then 5 ebay points and failed to contact me prior before bidding.
