This Cadillac suffers from your typical NorthStar engine problem. You guessed it, a bad head gasket. Hydocarbons in the coolant WAS causing the car to overheat after about 15-20 minutes. The car starts and runs smoothly.. There is no coolant in the oil, just the coolant boiling in the surge tank. Also there is no evidence of white smoke from the exhaust pipes. I'm selling the car whole but am open to parting it out. All electrical components work as they should and the ac is ice cold. The interior is in excellent condition and I would rate it a 9 out of 10. The tires have about 80% tread life left. The overall body is in good condition with a few dings here and there but very presentable for its age. Please email with any part requests or any reasonable offers for the car. For those with vision problems, THE CAR HAS A BAD HEAD GASKET!!!!!! LOL Good Luck, Thanks for looking! Here's a big but! I recently changed the surge tank due to a split in the seam. (was leaking and losing pressure) I let the car run for about 30 minutes and drove it around town. Has'nt over heated and the temperture gauge needle remained at half way. Also there was a hydrocarbon kit installed which returns the overflow back to the surge tank. This is done by spliting the upper radiator hose and teeing off the line returning the overflow back into the surge tank. Since this has been done the car has'nt over heated and there is no boiling coolant in the surge tank.
