Need a good old truck? This is it....1988 Ford F250. Extended cab, XLT low low miles. Interior in great shape. Exterior needs atleast hood and roof paint. You know that all silver paint comes off Fords in the late 80's, This is no exception. I think I am the third owner of this truck. I bought it a few years ago from a friend who got it from his Uncle. The Uncle drove it down to and back to Florida twice a year towing his camper. He eventually got too old and passed the truck to his nephew. My friend hung onto the truck for years using it occasionally for mulch and the like, but mostly it sat under the pine trees. He got remarried, and new wife said it had to go. I needed a old truck to do the occasional tow or haul and figured with such low mileage probably worth a shot. I planned on getting it repainted but never got around to it. I do have a new brushed aluminum tailgate trim so if you ever get it repainted that will help make it look much better. Their is no rust on the truck except for the surface rust on the entire hood. There are a few dings here and there but only one worth mentioning - its on the rear passenger quarter panel. Looks like a scrape from a post or tree? It was like that when I got it, Has hubcaps on the eight lug rims. Also has running boards. The front seats are bucket captain chairs, each seat has both a left and right arm rest which is very comfortable. The rear seat is all vinyl and is usable but not at all comfortable. The truck has an electric brake for towing although I never used it. I recently replaced the electric window motors as the rubber gears gave out. The air conditioning and heat work great. The truck gets like 10 miles a gallon cause its a big truck. It has an oil drip somewhere but I never pursued it. Over the last few years, I had an alignment done caused it pulled a little. The tires are not bad. I replaced the alternator and the high beam floor switch. That is about it. It starts everytime. It has two tanks but I never used the rear tank as I was told the sending unit or pump isn't working. The front tank does work, but the gauge doesnt register so I just watch the mileage on the odometer so I dont run out of gas. The rear must have a low ratio as the truck isnt very fast, but seems to have lots of power. I also have a cap that you must take. The only reason I am selling it is I needed four wheel drive to tow the boat out of the water, and recently bought old dodge ram. I probably put 3500 miles on this truck in the last 2-3 years. That is about all it has ever gotten. PA inspected through Oct. For not alot of money you get decent truck.
