Vehicle Detail
1995 BMW 525iT. I bought this car this past November. I've had a lot of new parts put on since I bought it. Here is a list of everything that is new since this past November. Front and Rear Brake Pads and Rotors, tires, Drive belts, valve cover gasket, head gasket, factory roof rack, O2 sensor, VANOS hose, floor mats in both front and rear(all weather), cup holder, fuel filter, front strut inserts, spark plugs, front upper control arms, front lower control arms, and wheel emblems. Everything that was replaced mechanically was done by nephew, who is a BMW tech in Northern VA. The car runs great, the interior is in great shape for a 1995. There are no rips or tears in any of the seats. The double sunroof works. I also bought an owners manual for it because it did not have one when I purchased it. It comes with a full size spare. Okay, so here are the deficiencies. The air conditioning does not currently work. It only blows hot air. I took it to get looked at, and was told it was at least the evaporator, but was probably more. So, I honestly don't know if it's more than the evaporator or not. When I had it charged up, it blew cold air for about 2 days, then it was done. The other issue is recently there has been some fuel seapage from the fuel tank area. When I fill the tank up to half full or more, there is fuel slowly seaping from somewhere. I don't know if it's just a hose connection issue or what. I don't see how there would be a hole in the tank since this is a new problem, and I have not hit anything. It's not alot coming out, but enough that you can smell it and see some on the driveway. Once the fuel level in the tank drops to about 1/4 tank, there is no smell and no seapage. The last issue is a few rust spots on the bottom areas of the left rear passenger door and the right side front passenger door. You can see them in the pictures. As far as other rust, there is just normal surface rust on some engine parts and a few areas on the undercarriage. Pretty normal for the age of the car. If I think of anything else, I will add it to the description. If there are any questions or if someone wants more pictures, please let me know.On Jul-12-11 at 15:40:02 PDT, seller added the following information: I thought of a few things I needed to add. One more thing that I replaced are the trunk supports. The lift glass to acces the trunk area without opening the entire trunk lid does not independently stay up. It would need new lift supports, or whatever they are called. The other thing is that some of the black paint is off of the two rails that are on the roof. So, on those two rails, you can see some white sections from where the paint is missing. I was going to use some black paint and redo them, but never got around too it.
