For sale I have a 1976 VW Rabbit 1.6 gas, it comes with a 2 barrel Webber carburetor, 4 speed manual transmission, and the actual mileage is 166 k miles. It is a single owner's car. It is been bought new and driven until now by my friend. He kept track all the receipts and maintenance records since 1982 when the original Volkswagen warranty expired. He still have the original dealer temporary permit from 1976. All the labor and maintenance records are saved in an inch thick folder. Unfortunately, due to my friends age and health problems, he is no longer driving his car and decided to sell his rabbit. He contacted me to help him to sell the car and provide extra information to interested buyers. The car was garaged for most of its life, therefore it is in great shape. This is not a restoration or was a restoration project, the car is in wonderful shape, with the original shiny factory paint. There is one small rust spot on the front bottom left fender. There is some small exposed rock chips from road wear around the body and some small dings, one the bottom part of the passenger quarter panel and one on the drivers rear corner. (See pictures) The rest is of the car is rust free. Tires are almost new, exhaust is in good shape with recent work done. It has a new clutch with new cable installed two month ago. At the same time the rubber fuel hoses are replaced too. Engine runs great and smooth and does not use oil or water and is complete with his original equipment. All the electrical parts are working fine. The car is maintained well and consistently, and it drives just like it. Interior is very clean and in good shape, light wear on the drivers side seat, no cracks in the dash, no cracks in the windshield, and the headliner is perfect.
