Rebuilt from ground up. Car was disassembled and sandblasted inside and underside. Then sheet metal work began. Trunk floor inner rockers and large sections of the cab floor area was replaced. Then fire wall was replaced to make room for the 350 Chevy motor and tranny. Motor and tranny mounts installed. Then work began on fitting the front end with a new Mustang II cross-member. Original front frame rails where re-boxed for added strength. New rear leaf springs where installed to hold the 10 bolt Chevy rear end. Inside floor area and complete underside where epoxy coated in satin black. Power disc brakes in front and drum in rear. New smoothie wheels, rings and caps from Wheel Vintiques. New 225/ 70/ R15 tires for the old hot rod look. We sent the original radiator to Walker to have them build one that would fit in the original support. We have driven it in 95 degree temp with no cooling issues. [money well spent] New wiring harness along with all switches gauges and sending units. We built a rat rod but tried to stay with a very stock look. Basically the car is new from front to back with an old look. We even hid the gauges behind what was the speaker grill so it didn't take away from the original dash look. The dash and all the garnish moldings cleaned and sprayed with a satin clear. Car has all new glass and rubber seals. New bear claw latches. Engine is a 1989 Chevy 350 which we had completely rebuilt, 30 over with a mild cam. Tranny is a 350 Turbo from Fountain Transmission with a stiff shift kit. GM mini gear reduction stater. Car runs and drives great. I have driven it 100's of miles from home without any problems.
