this is a 2002 bmw 325 convertible. 109k miles. It needs some work and that is why I am selling it for much less than others here on ebay. The most expensive fix obviously is the convertible top. Last year someone attempted to break into the car and cut the top in 2 places. I have priced around and found decent tops here on ebay and elsewhere for approx 600 dollars. The headliner also has a small cut in it however can probably be sewn since it is a very small cut by an upholstery shop or dyi if you take the time so that it is not obvious or for a couple hundred extra replace it. My local upholstery shop said they would charge 550 to install the new top but in looking on bmw message forums it appears the e46 models are not too difficult to do yourself however it suggests will take an entire weekend worth of work but can be done with just a normal screwdriver and no special tools required. Other issues with the car: when i originally bought the car the car dealership must have had the rims painted over to give a like new appearance in a couple places on the rims that paint has started to peel and some of the rims have scuff marks but nothing too major. The driver seat has some wear on it. The leather steering wheel cover was worn so i opted to remove it as you probably wouldnt even notice it was missing. The 325ci badging on the rear was removed prior to me buying it and i never opted to put back on. There are no floor mats. The outside temperature guage does not work. It constantly says it is -40 degrees. This does not affect the thermostat or operating temperature of the engine or anything else. The engine runs fine and temperature is normal. One of the sensors for the brakes needs replaced. When getting the brakes changed last year a mechanic accidentally broke it off and it just never got replaced. Minus the convertible top all of the "issues" are very minor and typical of a car with 100k miles here on ebay or elsewhere. I am just trying to be as forthcoming as possible of any blemishes as sometimes pictures dont show exact condition. The car is still a very sharp car with a good paintjob but may have a chip or two but nothing major. It drives well , tires are good, shifts fine, doesnt smoke at all, doesnt use oil, all in all it is a nice good looking bmw in good shape for its age and mileage. Most of the other convertible bmws this year and mileage i see in the 9-10k range. I am selling this one with a reserve of 6500 buy it now 7000. Even if you do none of the work yourself and pay someone including the convertible top, have the rims refinished, brake sensor replaced floor mats and any other "issue" it will still be way under 9k and then wont have any of the "blemishes". All in all the car is in good shape , it needs the convertible top replaced but does have the common wear and tear of a 10 year old car that im sure others here on ebay have as well but I am selling it for considerably less than others here on ebay just for convenience so i dont have to fix it.
