Vehicle Detail

I am selling my nearly restored but not assembled 1941 Cadillac Sixty Special. Ot someone with the time and talent to reasemble- you will save thousands of dollars with it. It is complete and almost everything but the upholstery is ready. All chrome is completed, all body work is done. The floor has been rebuilt, the wood connecting the body to the frame is new(the 1941 60 special was the last GM car to have this feature-all others had switched to body on frame.). This was done body off frame-and the frame was sandblasted and painted. The body is straight. The only undone feature is the fender skirt(there are both skirts with the car plus a spare). The engine was fresh rebuilt when I bought it and still has clean oil in it from the rebuild. The radio is now AM/FM but kept in the original configuration. Even the heater was refurbed. There are no pictures of the 6 side trim pieces as I will pick them up at the refinisher next week along with the other two side windows which have been rechromed and new rubber put in the vent window while apart-just like the front windows. The dash board is seen in the plastic wrap straight back from the refinisher from All Cads in Las Vegas. There is a period correct complete new wiring harness. Even the instrument cluster was rechromed. The ash trays have been redone with new sliding wood panels over them. The front hood insignia and rear truck insignia have been redone at great cost along with the dummy fill ins where the fog lights go. Thios is a partial as there are many other parts redone I haven't even mentioned-but anyone is welcome to come look. They will be fasinated at how solid the car is-probably better than factory! I have lost my drive to finish this car. I run a business which is busier than ever, I have young children(8 and 3) and at the age of 63 don't wish to take away from what precious time I can spend with them. Some one else can finsh it-and I know I will not gain back half the money involved with getting this far. also -the radio antenae is rebuilt( $600.00). If you know 60 specials, this is one of maybe 10 of them that had the antenae in the fender-not the cowl. I don't expect to see this sell on the first auction, but if someone comes and looks at it-they will want it. John off.301-856-5556 ps-I would entertain the thought of trading for a Cadillac limo from 1941 to 1957 in decent running condition(preferably a '49).On Jul-04-11 at 11:55:18 PDT, seller added the following information: Coming with the car is also brand new complete rubber from Steele for the entire car. I also have new felt channels for all four windows. This is high dollar stuff! I will mention morre as it comes to mind. JohnOn Jul-05-11 at 10:47:04 PDT, seller added the following information: Since I am out of town until Thursday-my cell phone number is 202-498-1462On Jul-08-11 at 05:47:32 PDT, seller added the following information: The serial number is 6340667 and it's 1941 California black tags come with the car.
